god, i have to say i think they are so funny. there are some very clever people on here who are very quick minded.

the question i put to you is...

if everyone on mn had a fight, who would win and why?

yes, gone to work cyberstalking.

fortyplus · 24/01/2008 23:06

The ones I really despise are the ones who say either

'You're completely missing the point'

Errr... no, actually, I'm just disagreeing with everything you say

Or...

'You lot are so pathetic - sits on hands...'

Yeah.. - like you are so precious and perfect

Heathcliffscathy · 24/01/2008 23:06

asleep. since 7.40. he'll wake up a couple of times tonight, but like last nigth and night before stay in his bed (i hope!).

MicrowaveOnly · 24/01/2008 23:06

Am I the only one who thinks cod is really, really weird??? I need a cod translator, like on the babble site. Yet everyone else here gets it and laughs.

fortyplus · 24/01/2008 23:07

You can Google Cod on Babelfish.

Honestly...

Heathcliffscathy · 24/01/2008 23:08

she types for shit.

nothing else to 'get' really.

VVVQV · 24/01/2008 23:08

HAs this turned into a fight???

AussieSim · 24/01/2008 23:08

The rows are funny as long as you are not one of the targets I am trying to wean myself off MN and onto Facebook after a horrid experience recently. I walked away in the end and that is the only thing you can do in the face of people who are not there for a rational debate or even an 'agree to disagree' scenario. The Anon thing obviously gives some people the licence to be v harsh and unreasonable and to draw wild conclusions that satisfy their own egos. I have been on here a long time and used to be a fan of Aloha who disappeared after a nasty row (or did she ) anyway, I think it is quite sad that these rows can get quite as ugly as they do.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2008 23:08

yes, you are the only one, Microwave .

Aitch · 24/01/2008 23:08

Hah! i wasn't even on that stoopid Partridge thread, cod. i was gutted not to be actually cos i heard later that you cried like a girly.

and NotEven, see the thing about your last comment is that the only way it could possibly be taken as is bitchy, which suggests you've missed the point. i've seen bullying on MN, funnily enough it tends to come from people who're trying to 'make a name' for themselves on here, and they tend to get pulled up for it imo. i have never seen someone say that they're upset without them being offered sympathy and calls to calm things down.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2008 23:08

she came back, sim.

NotEvenGoingToBother · 24/01/2008 23:09

you know, never mind. you got a good system going, why spoil it.

madamez · 24/01/2008 23:09

Yeah but no but I could take Aitch in a fight any time because I am ROCK, me.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2008 23:10

soph, so email me! what's the DH getting you from NYC (please say it's Frye boots or a Mulberry bag!)

expatinscotland · 24/01/2008 23:10

Gotta say, madamez does rock, in her way.

I don't agree with many of her stances, but she's madamez with bad phone service .

Heathcliffscathy · 24/01/2008 23:11

NEGTB, in all seriousness, when some person on here who you 'know' is a git and a bully and hates you and you disagree with everything you say goes out of their way to help you on a thread, having just minutes before been in a flaming row with you, you'll realise what the 'system' is.

Aitch · 24/01/2008 23:11

i win!

fortyplus · 24/01/2008 23:11

'funnily enough it tends to come from people who're trying to 'make a name' for themselves on here'... now just how far up your arse does that sound?

MicrowaveOnly · 24/01/2008 23:12

thought so expat.

amazing how our playground hangups come back and haunt us on a site like this. who's the popular one? the bully? the funny one?

forever spotty and fourteen...sigh!

Heathcliffscathy · 24/01/2008 23:12

expat, he tried SOOOO hard this afternoon, on phone from saks, nearly bought a marc by marc jacobs bag, but it was too shiney for me.

he's bought me fab freeze 24/7 lip gloss at half price and run round all over town trying to find a bag that fits the bill and won't break the bank and i love him for it!

now i need to get myself over there to do some proper shopping!

xx

VVVQV · 24/01/2008 23:12

ACtually expat, email me.......

I didnt miss the Ipswich thread, and it's one of the funniest things ever. Obv not for cod at the time. In fact I was very angry on her behalf for the most part. But the confusion with Ipswich and Norwich still has me PMSL.

Heathcliffscathy · 24/01/2008 23:13

i missed the ipswich thread.

Aitch · 24/01/2008 23:15

well it doesn't sound far up my arse, it's just a fact. there are people who post more and are more well known (or do less housework, whatever) and in terms of 'bullying' imo it's more likely to come from the middley-well known people. like you just don't see cod starting a thread saying AIBU to .

MicrowaveOnly · 24/01/2008 23:17

groan..this IS a clique thread afterall...off to find a dull AIBU thread to flame up...

expatinscotland · 24/01/2008 23:17

i don't know where ipswitch is .

but what i hate to see is how people with money are seen as something bad or snobby.

wtf?

i mean, how judgmental is that?

who cares? whose business is it anyways?

everyone's got problems, you know.

so take the time to get to know folks, maybe.

maybe learn a thing or two.
