RIP Queen Elizabeth. Not a fan of the Royal Family but I had a lot of respect for the Queen.

For Diana’s funeral we had Elton doing CITW. Who do we think will do the honours here? I quite fancied Queen- the group- or Alfie Boe doing something?!

The quotation "flights of angels sing thee to thy rest" is contained in Taverner's Song for Athene, but that was used at Diana Princess of Wales funeral, so perhaps not.

Don't be daft, this was Her Majesty the Queen. The music has probably been chosen for a long time and it will be tasteful and most likely classical, not some reworded pop song.

I think the Queen had a really fun sense of humour and would have thoroughly enjoyed having a 'theme tune' 🥰 She was always ready to join in with big events and I can imagine her now, looking down at all this planning and plotting, eating her marmalade sandwich and a slice of cake ☺️

It will be a very formal funeral with traditional anglican choral anthems, organ music and hymns. Thomas Tallis, Vaughan Williams, Elgar etc. Elton John’s contribution to Diana’s funeral was due to their personal friendship.

I would say William Harris (because of the St George's Chapel connection) but they already sang one of his at the memorial service.
Hubert Parry is a safe bet but they might be saving him for the coronation.

This funeral will be very tradition and religious. Hymns and choral music would be my prediction. No celebrity performances.
