To loathe back to school photos on social media?

I'm clearly in the minority after scrolling through my Facebook feed today. Every single post on there is a photo of a child posing in their school uniform. Why? Please someone explain, I must be missing something.

Do parents ask their older likes if they want a photo posted, my DC would cringe with embarrassment if I did post their photos

Because lots of people who aren't you do like them

I always check with mine. I imagine next year (year 9) will be when the cringing starts!
