to ask what you pay for childcare?

I'm just curious to see if childcare rates vary around the country/UK?

I pay £40 a day for my 2 year old go to a childminder for 8 hours 3 (sometimes 4) days a week, this was £35 a day until very recently. I did, however, pay pushing on £50 a day for my day when my daughter was at nursery 6-7 years ago.

Roll on 15 free hours next year! Although I do think my childminder is very good value 😊

150 euros a month, you have to collect them by 2pm though. Here in Germany kids start school age 6, so kids can be in kindergarten for 4 years.

After using the government top up it works out to be just under £40 per day and includes all food, nappies, wipes and sun cream. DS is nearly 2.

We get 4 weeks 'holiday' per year which means DS is out of nursery for 4 weeks every year and we don't pay for that time. It's averaged over the year so we just pay slightly less each month rather than only paying less on months he's home with us. Works out well because we often travel back home to DH's home country and of course take him with us. Plus the nursery is closed between Christmas and New Year so that's another week off toward the four.

This is in North East England.
