I'm just curious to see if childcare rates vary around the country/UK?

I pay £40 a day for my 2 year old go to a childminder for 8 hours 3 (sometimes 4) days a week, this was £35 a day until very recently. I did, however, pay pushing on £50 a day for my day when my daughter was at nursery 6-7 years ago.

Roll on 15 free hours next year! Although I do think my childminder is very good value 😊

We are looking now. Between £61.50 to £85 a day depending on nursery.

Ivyruin · 04/09/2022 19:46

I pay £15 a day, 5 days a week for morning and after school club.

In the holidays, childminder is £50 a day.

dmask · 04/09/2022 19:46

£1850 a month, central London, 0800-1800.

Squeezedsquash · 04/09/2022 19:49

We have the 30 hours now but it’s around about £60 a day for a nursery day. Includes nappies and food, 7am - 6.30. Definitely one of the cheapest around here (Hampshire).

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2022 19:49

2 Friend pay for nursery between £63 and £82 a day plus think just under £4 a day for food

this is the same nursery

the more hours they do the cheaper it is

so one uses one day a week and pays £82 for 8/6

other 5 days a week so full time and £63 for same hours

plus food

for 3 days it would be £69 a day 8/6

this is south east

not sure if this is normal to have lower hourly rate the more hours you do ?

£72 a day - 5 days a week. Buckinghamshire.

Absolutely counting down the days until next September when she will get 30 hours free a week and we get to keep some more of our money!

Baker90 · 04/09/2022 19:58

£660 5 days a week. Just gone up from £600. 30 hours funding but we stretch as full year worker. 3 year old in the south east. Nappies now we supply but we are trying to potty train to save money on that too.

peepholepringle · 04/09/2022 19:58

I should mention that £72 per day includes a 5% discount for her being full time

Sleepyteach · 04/09/2022 20:00

East Midlands, we pay approx £15 per day for nursery after our funded hours are taken into account. (10 hours per day although she’s not usually there that long). Full price is £60ish per day (gone up from £53 in the last three years). A friend in the same area is paying £76 a day. 😳

Michellexxx · 04/09/2022 20:02
