And I don't feel even the slightest bit unreasonable. In fact, I bought them knowing that I'd sit and eat them all as soon as I got home.

What do you regularly buy, knowing that you will use/eat the lot of it?

I had some of those after 8 French fancies one Christmas. They did not last long 😁. See also: Brownie M&M's, Jaffa cakes, chocolate fingers and Black Forest gateau.

I think I'd feel sick after that many French fancies, one is plenty enough.

However, chocolate digestives, chocolate chip cookies or certain crisps, then yes, I could eat and eat and eat. So I don't tend to buy them, I'm already overweight, I don't need anymore!

Anything with peanut butter in it, except a jar of peanut butter.

stopitstopitnow · 29/08/2022 17:57

An entire box of Turkish delight thins has no chance once the wrapper is off. 1 box = 1 portion. 😋

Jaffa cakes or Cadbury choc fingers 🤣

I ate a whole box of choc fingers when I was a student and I had a really bad stomach ache for hours.

NeelyOHara1 · 29/08/2022 17:57

Sainsbury's Peppermint Cremes are very moreish 😳

Misty84 · 29/08/2022 17:57

A whole wedge of Port Salut. Can’t be trusted to buy it!

While this thread is supposed to be light-hearted, that really isn't normal. Are you okay?

I love a sweet treat as much as anyone but a whole packet suggests something's not right

TheCutter · 29/08/2022 17:59

Box of chocolate Cornflakes...

midsomermurderess · 29/08/2022 17:59

Peanut butter. I can eat tablespoons of the stuff. Until it has almost cemented my mouth shut. And Stroopwafels, oh dear.

Doje · 29/08/2022 18:00

So many things!

Including, but not limited to:

5 pack of fresh supermarket cookies (😳 I just don't buy these anymore)
Camembert
Marshmallows (I do feel ill afterwards though...)
Sharing pack crisps

awwbiscuits · 29/08/2022 18:00

Galaxy caramel. Squashies.

Haggisfish3 · 29/08/2022 18:00

Op we are soulmates. That was the first thing I did when I left home and didnt have to share any more!

HoollyWugger · 29/08/2022 18:01

Omg I've found my people ...

My regular "snack" is a four pack of double deckers and a bag of fruit gums; also sometimes a two pack of vanilla slices. Defo the Jaffa cakes, or Swiss roll, or pretty much anything. Once I know it's there I find it really hard to not eat it.

Rabidturnip · 29/08/2022 18:04

I can easily put away one of those packs of salted caramel shortbreads from their fresh bakery. Very easily

spanktastic · 29/08/2022 18:04

I'm not keen on sweet stuff but I scoffed a whole roast chicken once

ChagSameachDoreen · 29/08/2022 18:05

I'd say that's absolutely acceptable. French Fancies are TINY now. I swear they've halved in size since I was a nipper.

Rabidturnip · 29/08/2022 18:06

Ack butterfingers, the bakery from Morrisons

ForfuckssakeEXHstopbeingatwat · 29/08/2022 18:06

I'm more of a savoury person but those 400g packs of onion and chive flavour pretzels are done in one sitting ..I end up really thirsty and with a dry mouth but they're v v moreish.

Duchess379 · 29/08/2022 18:07

Chocolate hobnobs 😋😋

Mother87 · 29/08/2022 18:07

Pecan & Cranberry loaf from M&S & Brie

Define 'regular? Once a month? Weekly? Seems pretty excessive if it's the latter.

This really made me laugh for some reason. Good on you.
