I just ate a whole pack of french fancies

And I don't feel even the slightest bit unreasonable. In fact, I bought them knowing that I'd sit and eat them all as soon as I got home.

What do you regularly buy, knowing that you will use/eat the lot of it?

A whole jar of Nutella

Party rings

Double packs of Jaffa cakes (Blush)

The white French fancies (I would eat a whole pack of normal ones but I don't like the chocolate ones!)

A tube of pringles

I second the party rings!

Wishihadanalgorithm · 29/08/2022 21:51

Another vote for custard creams. I’ve cream (Ben and Jerry’s). White chocolate is also not safe.

Angelinflipflops · 29/08/2022 21:51

It's a lot of sugar

BCBird · 29/08/2022 21:51

Mate told me that the chocolate in Ferrero Rocher is basic Nutella. Blew my mind!

NanaNelly · 29/08/2022 21:52

Once when pregnant I sat and ate 8 cream eggs. I was surprised weeks later when I gave birth to a wee girl and not a cream egg.

French stick

@Winterfellismyhome there is a swanky hipster bakery up the road from me. Mother of god you should taste their baguettes. They are fully responsible for all my covid weight gain. I end up putting obscene amounts of butter on the bread. It's absolutely amazing

mac1974 · 29/08/2022 21:53

Crisps of pretty much any variety. In fact I think I need to completely give them up. I just can't be trusted.

MintyGreenDreams · 29/08/2022 21:53

Taramasalata with fresh toasted pitta.
Fucking delicious but very calorific.I could snort a tub of that no probs.

Cindie943811A · 29/08/2022 21:54

Panda Licorice.
Trouble I can’t get to the shops now and have to source it online where it’s exorbitantly priced.
I just can stop eating them once I’ve had one.
At least I don’t crave alcohol in the same way

silverbubbles · 29/08/2022 21:55

I regularly do a whole pack of dark chocolate digestives with a cup of tea.

BTW - did you try the special Easter French Fancies. They were amazing and definitely 'down in one' material. French fancies are actually tiny.

Goosygandy · 29/08/2022 21:56

Colin the Caterpillar cake. Everyone else has one slice and I finish it off over the course of the week, sometimes at breakfast time 😳

Thelnebriati · 29/08/2022 21:57

The last time I saw Panda red liquorice it was in the hospital shop and it. was. £6.

Aintnosupermum · 29/08/2022 21:57

French fancies are incredible. Leaving the UK, family send care packages and always include a box. I can get tunnocks tea cakes and make my own Eccles cakes.

I completed a whole program on binge eating 5 years ago. It’s helped a lot and I can no longer eat large servings in one sitting. Highly recommend getting help for binge eating if you can afford it. There is also overeaters anon which is very good and much cheaper/free depending on your area.

Gingersay · 29/08/2022 21:57

I bought a coffee and walnut cake from morrisons last week with a view to eat at least half of it in front of the telly - It wasn't nice - i may have cried whilst the whole cake minus a small slice was put in bin....

Undertheoldlindentree · 29/08/2022 21:37

Tunnock tea cakes. Can almost suck them down whole. Like a marshmallow addicted hoover!

Nerdy fact: The feeling in Tunnock's teacakes is Italian meringue rather than marshmallow!

NewJobSoNewName · 29/08/2022 22:00

I will say though that as a French fancy (although to me they're called Fondant Fancies - maybe a Scottish thing?) connoisseur.

YABU to have eaten the brown ones.

I let the DC have them and pretend I'm doing them a favour letting them have the 'chocolate" ones.

Box of all pink. That's what you really want.

MorrisZapp · 29/08/2022 22:00

My sister in law once gave me a fkn MASSIVE box of Randoms at Christmas time. Once we were tucked up in their spare room, I ate a few. Then a few more. Then to my own and DPs horror I ate the entire box. This was after a full day of post Christmas buffet grazing.

I still think about it.

ShirleyJackson · 29/08/2022 22:01

Chilli and Lemon Grills from Tesco.
Sensations Chilli and Lime poppadums.
Any cheapo salted tortilla chips.
Phish Food ice cream.
Green and Blacks Almond chocolate.

None of the above are safe in my reach.

Seriou · 29/08/2022 22:01

Family pack of Jammy Dodgers.

And I know I’ll do it every time I buy them because I always snigger to myself when putting them in my basket ‘Family ? I’ll be the judge of that’.

Also double pack of Greggs YumYums. Clues in the name.

I think it is a Scottish thing.

Lotus biscuit spread! Worse still on bread and butter which makes it even more calorific 🤣

Ugh yes. I bought a jar each of the crunchy and smooth when it was new and on offer.

I had to give one away as I couldn't keep away from the first jar - kept taking a spoon to it!

NewJobSoNewName · 29/08/2022 22:05

@Rosscameasdoody

I think I know what you mean!! Was there a little bit of jam under the pink/white?

Loved those.

Justcashnosweets · 29/08/2022 22:06

Tunnocks Teacakes. I could eat all 6 in one go but usually manage to restrain myself. 😬

FayeGovan · 29/08/2022 22:07

I admire your tenacity @Hawdyerwheesht

French fancies are heavenly
