To ask what you're doing today on bank holiday?

No plans for me. I'm at home, bored. I don't do sitting around at home. I need/ like to be active. Feel like I should get doing something today instead of wasting the day doing nothing. I could be doing various jobs indoors but I CBA to start them and their not urgent jobs, just trivial ones.

Took mum out to a local beauty spot for a coffee and a - very leisurely - walk. She can't walk far these days.

Came home, put washing out, tidied kitchen (dh and ds1 have been busy 🙄) and am now thinking about a face mask and a nap 😴

Reeling after yet another awful encounter with my husband where he spent 15 minutes last night shouting with rage at me as he couldn’t find something he needed for today. Accused me of losing it, throwing it away, his face contorted in rage, muscles tense. He eventually found it in a different cupboard from the one he thought it was in (and he had put it in the cupboard it was in). He instantly calmed, gave me a calm ‘ sorry’ and walked off like nothing had happened.

I hate him.

Have a job interview next week. If I get it, I will be a step closer to leaving. If I don’t get it, I will break.

I used to like Bank Holidays but the last couple have been quite boring, that’s probably my own fault. I should do some cleaning and researching landscaping companies to request someone to come and sort the garden out, but I don’t really want to do that just now. I have a good book on the go and have just done my Duolingo Chinese lessons. Will need to pop out to look at new beds shortly. Then just prepping for the week ahead, I suppose…

Currently on the sofa watching Dickinson. Due to go to a hot chocolate meet up for women later. Doing my best not to talk myself out of going as I really need some new friends.

Will need to wrap some presents for DH's birthday and plan what to do on the day. Also have tomorrow off so will plan what to donwith my day.

Lying on the sofa with a cup of tea listening to the roomba. I’ve tidied everywhere, put a load of washing on and washed down the windows and dusted, plus been to town in a (failed) attempt to buy some sort of storage container for clothes I’ve worn but want to wear again before washing. I’m now taking a break before cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen and mopping the kitchen and hall floor.

I hate the way the roomba tries to vacuum your feet so that’s a good excuse to do nothing for an hour.

Put on Lightyear this morning whilst DD pottered round and played with her toys. DH & I then made the most epic fry-up for brunch.

DD now napping and we will spend the afternoon relaxing, playing & watching movies. Keeping it very chilled today.

Not a bank holiday in Ireland.

I'm off sick ATM.
I have a hospital appt this afternoon.
Kids back to school on Wednesday so a few last min bits of organising to be done.
Might go to the beach this evening...

Helping DH who is painting the utility room, and working. I work part time, and because I work with Americans, and the roads around here get jammed on bank holidays, I usually take a different day off instead - next Monday is US Labor Day so that works well. (Except the forecast is for rain then so I wish I'd planned today as a gardening day or suchlike now)

Dh and I did alot of admin, did a massive food shop. It's back to school this week so sorting out the house and school stuff, meal prepping. Boring stuff but will make the week so much easier.

Just got back from hotel for overnight stay and breakfast as part of a wedding. Wedding was the most beautiful. 40 people. All paid for, hotel, all drinks. But aside from the money, was the nicest nicest time.

Now at home watching football. Plan on doing nothing.

Cilcain village show. Currently waiting for the finish of the mountain race. It's a beautiful village in north wales.

Feeling very lucky to live close to such a beautiful area.

Woke up feeling fatigued so went for a walk with DS and DH.

Just came home, had lunch and I ran 5km as I have MS and find exercise helpful with fatigue and aches.

DH is painting the porch ready for Winter to keep damp away. Looks nice.

Watched DD and her bf do Go Ape earlier....now watching Rebecca on Netflix (again) then out tonight for early dinner before DS1 joins his new regiment tomorrow in Woolwich.

Tidied the house to within an inch of its life. Tidied the garden too. Sorted uniform and bag for youngest who starts highschool tomorrow and middle child cooked is all a lovely roast dinner. Youngest helped wash up and put away and now they have both disappeared leaving me in peace listening to the washing machine doing another load!

Tidying up the house and decluttering, ready for photos on Thursday. We're selling up and (fingers crossed) moving!

Snaaaaaaaap!! Dominoes arrived at 11:55am!! (Actually booked for 12:30). Trash on tv. And a bottle of wine. I kind of think bank holidays are a bonus day where you can do whatever you like and it doesnt count

Went swimming early this morning with toddler ds (mostly because I've just bought him arm bands and I find it really cute/amusing watching him bob along)

Did a bit of housework while ds napped

Off to a local farm this afternoon

Then when dp finishes work I'll go to the gym for an hour and hopefully come back and have a nice bath before dinner.

I'm doing some long overdue decorating. Our boring white box new build is starting to come to life :) DH is out with baby for lunch and walk around town.

Going to a 90th birthday party

Cleaning and prepping for DS’s birthday next weekend. This must be the earliest the party bags are ready ever! Certainly better than the year I very nearly forgot them altogether…

I’ve done some of my best sitting ever so far today.

Am about to take a date and walnut loaf out of the oven. DP has tidied out the garage and is now prepping a chicken for roasting. There might be a snooze happening at some point this afternoon.

At home with DH and the DC. I thought we'd have a chilled out day because we've been away/busy the last couple of weeks... big mistake.

DS(4) has had many tantrums about nothing. DD(8) and I were playing a board game, I won and she stomped off (hasn't done that for awhile!). The kids have argued A LOT. We took one each to separate them, leading to the board game debacle. Right now DS is playing on the PS4 with DH, being an angel, and DD is sulking upstairs.

One week to go...
