There is macon. Tastes exactly like normal streaky bacon 😉

That settles it.

I need to move back to North London don't I?

Helpmethinkofasolution · 28/08/2022 09:06

Middle Eastern

Just anywhere near asda which is selling it here😂
Who would guess mutton can be bacon

RedRec · 28/08/2022 09:08

It would be the Continental breakfast - cheese, assorted cooked meats, nice bread, grapes etc.

BurnDownTheDiscoHangTheDJ · 28/08/2022 09:12

Japanese definitely.

Ponoka7 · 28/08/2022 09:14

It depends on how far back we are going with traditional. I've been frantically googling who has sausages. I would have said that I don't like Greek cooking, but they made sausages popular and started pizzas. Middle Eastern, or West Asian (who were the inventors of the sausage) actually includes everything, except potatoes of course. Although they had potatoes within fifteen years of England having them. So West Asian.

germsandcoffee · 28/08/2022 09:15

Indian

steakzilla · 28/08/2022 09:15

This is hard for me! I would probably also go Mexican.

But it was close between Mexican/Italian/Indian.

CockingASnook · 28/08/2022 09:17

Italian. It’s got A bit of everything: carbs, meat, fish, veg, cheese. Can be spicy if needed. Goes well with wine. And is pretty easy to cook. But I’d certainly miss Thai and Vietnamese food.

ThatshallotBaby · 28/08/2022 09:18

Probably Italian.
Tough choice though

DancyNancy · 28/08/2022 09:19

Greek

I love Indian food and always said I'd happily eat that forever l, however I just got back from holiday where all I ate is Indian and now I've changed my mind after eating it for days in a row. I now challenge you all to eat (the food you say you'd eat for the rest of your life) for just a week constantly and see if you still feel that way about it

I eat Indian all day, nearly every day, and have for most of my life. There is incredible variety, beyond what you get in restaurants.

My second choice would be Thai.

CuriositysCat · 28/08/2022 09:22

Mediterranean (or is that cheating?). Grilled meat and fish with lovely salads, potatoes and bread. Tzatziki, hummus, pitta bread.

kagerou · 28/08/2022 09:30

Chinese but only if it were the same level of quality and variation as in China itself.

Over here there is such poor representation of a lot of Chinese cuisine. Its so varied there's multiple cuisines in one

LateSummerLobelia · 28/08/2022 09:40

I was lucky enough to live in Thailand for 2 years. When I arrived I thought I could live on Thai food for the rest of my life.

6 months later I realised I was wrong.

That was 23 years ago and I have never eaten a single Thai meal again.

That’s a good choice

I shall have that for tea tonight

dannydyerismydad · 28/08/2022 11:14

If someone else is cooking, Indian.

If I'm cooking, Italian.

Pava22 · 28/08/2022 11:16

@MrsBunny2018 My dh is a turkish chef...he never cooks at home! But I learnt all the recipes :) he also just likes fried eggs and beans when he's tired 🤔so doesn't guarantee tasty food I'm afraid! 😂

XelaM · 28/08/2022 11:18

Japanese

XelaM · 28/08/2022 11:18

I'd be so slim 😇

Grumpybutfunny · 28/08/2022 12:55

Chinese tho could go British seen as we really steal bits of everything else.

HannahSternDefoe · 28/08/2022 13:01

British.

Roast dinners, fish n chips, full english breakfast, Chicken Tikka (born in birmingham), baked beans on toast and "The Sandwich" Grin

I'd miss the odd chinese....but I'd still have a bacon and slightly runny egg butty to make up for it. 😋

NewJobSoNewName · 28/08/2022 18:02

Here's the thing.

Is this in the real world where diabetes, heart disease and indigestion are real?

As that's why I said Japanese as I figure it's tasty but also I wouldn't die in a year.

As American would be a close contender os it wouldn't kill me Grin

Hiphophippityskip1 · 28/08/2022 18:10

Indian or turkish
