To not want to be friends with fire signs

I know if I read this I would probably think I was crazy.
but it’s dawned on me I don’t get on with fire signs! I like them as aquaintences but I always feel let down by them
as im quite deep and emotional and I find fire signs to be about image abs quite hard hearted.

You don’t have to be friends with anyone so I think on those grounds you are most reasonable.
I’m not sure how you’re going to live day by day if you don’t have someone’s birth date but I’m sure you’ll find a sensible workaround.

Leo’s are pretty awful. Very narcissistic and the men tend to be quite abusive. I’ve only met one Leo I liked.

All my closest friends are earth signs. I like their humour. No idea if it’s due to the star sign though. My rising sign is earth too.

DH is Aquarius. I’m Sagittarius. Dd is Capricorn and we get on great. Ds is officially Cancer but on the cusp, he’s much more Gemini I think, and we also get on great. Basically I get on with my family.

Emotionally intense people though? No thanks. Maybe we wouldn’t be friends op.

Sometimes it's very off putting when a person tries too hard to be a bit out there or "alternative" ..the sort of "I'm mad me" persona adopted in a desperate attempt to be different or interesting can start to grate very quickly!

I do think there is something in OP's opinion - I'm a fire sign and I fell out with a few people because I can be fiery with voicing an opinion (een thouhg I'm not tactless) and also not very patient. On the other hand I can be passionate about suppoting a friend, but some people aer put off by the ups and downs in mood/attitude even though it's pretty predicatble and not bad-natured -
best thing is to understand that they often will do a lot for you but don't have patience to be nurturing emotionally.
Image pretty important, yes, but that's often the case wth air signs too. Fire signs aer less pretentious though, too staight forward for that. They may overdo designer but won't be snobbish in that subtle way (or be too cool).

I do enjoy a bit of astrology but deep down I know it's bollocks. DH is a sign I am supposed to clash with terribly (we don't) and I have friends who are the same signs but are nothing like each other. I know somebody will come along and say 'Oh that's because their moon is in Uranus' but I say it's a load of twaddle - fun twaddle, but still twaddle 🙂

I assume you are not 12, so I will be honest. It’s just made up, OP. Really. The month you were born has no bearing on anything, unless you decide it does. Just stop being friends with people you don’t like. It doesn’t matter when their birthday is. Or yours.

Only signs I struggle with are Gemini and Leo. Caps I get on with but they scare me.

I don’t like the rejigged dates combining Scorpio and Ophiuchus in this article but I knew I was the latter - and it fits me much better than Sagittarius ever has. I prefer the rejigged-to-the-13-signs dates. I don’t, however, know what ‘type’ of sign Ophiuchus is and whether it means the OP would like me! 😂

My partner and I are both fire signs, Linda Goodman's description of the classic Sag is uncannily apt for me, but my Aries partner is nothing like he 'should' be and we are very different people. So you're probably right to cast me aside as a friend but you'd be missing out on an absolute gem in him

On the Sagittarius/Scorpio mix... that's my previous marriage which was a complete disaster. But I have 2 friends who share his birthday and are an absolute delight. So to summarise, it's all bullshit.
