Oh for goodness sake!That is ridiculous . How the hell are you being rasist? I know that Muslims don't like the use of the word 'pig' but she didn't have to listen! Pigs do exist, so is noone ever allowed to say the word incase someone gets offended. I could understand if you were telling your child rude jokes or swearing. My sister is a teacher and loves pigs. She had a calender with pigs on the wall. Nobody bothered and it was a school with a large Muslim population. When the children talked about it, they just referred to it as 'that word we can't say.'

Huh???!!! We use the word Pig in the Choo household - its not a problem at all. In fact, there are pics of pigs in DS's photo book and he says piggy oink oink when he sees them! We just don't eat it....no more fuss than that!

This has got to be a first. In all my life I've never heard such a thing....do you suppose she might have been just plain crazy???

My cousin was on the tube last week, and this woman started screaming at her telling her she was a terorrist, because all you mozlems are...etc etc.
Anyway after about three minutes of this woman screaming in my cousins face, cousin decides to reply, and the woman yelped no dont hurt me I am mozlem.... cousin hadn't been about to hit anyone as she's tiny, and the nutter lady was mahoosive.
We decided the woman prolly had a chemical imbalance, and left it at that.

Most muslims just wont eat or touch a pig, or use anything with pig byproducts, but I have never ever heard any muslim being offended by the word pig....

What is the world coming to ?

To be honest, I don't think the world is coming to anything, the woman was clearly mad. I really don't think anyone should read a wider social significance into this!
