Vardy talking to the Sun

Highfivemum · 03/08/2022 16:39

Am I hearing this right that Becky Vardy has done and interview with the sun paper pleading her innocence? Whoever is this ladies PR they need to be sacked. Why would she want anything to do with the papers after all the allegations. ? Surely if innocent you would stay away from talking to them. AIBU in thinking she must be not thinking straight to think doing a Sun article will clear her name.

Desperate for the money. The Sun is a good fit, I would think. Won't be reading anything about this desperately dim and dull woman.

How can she be desperate for the money, when her old man is on £7m a year or whatever it is?

Or is he refusing to cough up the cost of her being a twat?

Frankola · 03/08/2022 21:46

Ill conceived and desperate. Right up Vardys street.

TheSpottedZebra · 03/08/2022 21:48

See, I think she'd be more successful if she leans into the whole pantomime villain schtick. Shed be a cert for all sorts of reality TV and commercial deals. The fresh faced innocent look convinces no one.

She'll be on big brother next year when they do a 'celebrity' version. She's an odious character. I was thrilled when she lost the case!

She's already done it. Came across as right mardy.

Nothappyatwork · 03/08/2022 21:49

Shes not all there is she, to be pitied really

Diverseopinions · 03/08/2022 21:54

I think she performed well in the Stars on Ice programme, or whatever, it's called, so she could become, or could have become; a Loose Woman staple; Celebrity Charity Countdown contestant; Corrie cameo part; New Look model with her own curated collection, shampoo endorser......plus loads of magazine articles on Vardy family life. She'll probably get offered phone insurance endorsements, as people have wittily speculated. She is a bit younger - as part of a couple - and, arguably, just a shade more relevant, as Jamie still plays, than are Wayne and Coleen. She could have stolen some of their ground, more so, as it is easier to present as a happy couple when your hubby has not been caught cheating. But, this court case has made Coleen seem a nice, decent person to relate to and I think people will want to see more of her and hear more from her. Not me, as I'm not interested in celebs and influencers.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 03/08/2022 21:55

She is one desperate delusional woman.

I don't usually laugh when people cry but her face plant of tears made me chuckle.

Her DH must be mortified alongside her DC.

vipersnest1 · 03/08/2022 21:58

Did anyone else notice that she appeared far less well-groomed than during the court case?
I couldn't help but wonder if it was an attempt to make herself look like she was so upset she didn't bother.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 03/08/2022 22:05

Did anyone else notice that she appeared far less well-groomed than during the court case?
She was looking for sympathy for normal people to relate to her, looking like an innocent woman scorned.

She is actually older than Colleen. She’s 40, Colleen is 36.

PlanetNormal · 03/08/2022 20:39

Yep, she’s been on their payroll for years, leaking stories about footballers and their partners for cash.

She'll be a social pariah now it's common knowledge that she's been leaking stories about those circles.

Idontgiveashitanymore · 03/08/2022 22:24

She need to stfu now. We’re all sick,of hearing it. The tabloids are going to drag it out for years now. Ffs move on !

KateofGhent · 03/08/2022 22:55

Has anyone noticed that Becky and Coleen look alike? Similar face shape and brows, similar hairline, etc. Thought Becky seemed to have an obsession re Coleen, a Coleen wannabe maybe?

MzHz · 03/08/2022 22:57

Lakeyloo · 03/08/2022 17:37

I think she's told so many lies that she actually believes herself now

This is where I got to. She actually believes this crap!

i almost pity her husband and I feel total cringe on behalf of her kids/family.

HeddaGarbled · 03/08/2022 23:08

Neither her nor her husband understand that attempts at manipulating public opinion via the media don’t trump the judicial system. Her bringing the case in the first place, him with his statement outside the court during the trial and her with her current nonsense. They’re still gonna have to pay up 😭

But really, it’s no different from Trump and Boris et al, is it really? Try and appeal to the court of public opinion over the heads of the actual courts and then try and curtail the powers of the courts if they scupper your dastardly plans.

HeddaGarbled · 03/08/2022 23:14

If they’ve been watching Depp/Hearst and other recent judicial-process-as-entertainment cases, you can’t blame them for thinking the public vote holds more sway than the judges.

friendlycat · 03/08/2022 23:20

She really is an odious character and is devoid of all morals. Whilst she may think that in continuing to deny what is obvious to everyone else, including the judge, she somehow expects people to believe that if she says she didn’t do it that they will believe her.

But the evidence showed otherwise. I do think though that any interviews she does should have the interviewer address some of the evidence that categorically showed texts where she said “leak it” etc. The irony of her being interviewed by The Sun is also hilarious.

But she’s obviously addicted to her own self belief and media attention and has no concept of accepting that she’s been outplayed, out manoeuvred and fully outed for the nasty piece of work that she is. If she really had wanted to protect her family she would never have brought the ridiculous case to court. She’s rightly lost and is still banging on about trolls, her family abuse etc without accepting that she constantly is fuelling the fire. Some people never learn.

SpindleSheWrote · 03/08/2022 23:20

She's still got the costs hearing coming up.

IDreamOfTheMoors · 03/08/2022 23:25

Fladdermus · 03/08/2022 16:44

I think she's a very unpleasant woman who likes to control the narrative. She's been shown up for what she is, first by Colleen in outing her, and now by the courts for ruling against her. So now she's turning on the crocodile tears to manipulate people into buying her narrative. Someone close to her needs to tell her in no uncertain terms to knock it on the head now before it costs her more £millions.

Who, exactly, is “buying her story?”

Lol except the Sun, that is.

Livelovebehappy · 03/08/2022 23:26

What screams guilt more than anything is when she said during the interview that if she bumps into Colleen out and about, that she would take her to Nero’s for a coffee. Seriously?? Someone accuses you of something so twisted, wins the Court case and leaves you with a £3million legal bill and you’d take them for a coffee?? Proves to me that she is absolutely guilty.

Damnautocorrect · 03/08/2022 23:26

My guess isthe sun interview is either for a big chunk towards Costs. Or been done in agreement for them not talking to the courts

there was a lot of dismissed witnesses.

HaveringWavering · 04/08/2022 00:23

Toottooot · 03/08/2022 17:46

She kens exactly fit she’s deeing spikin’ to The Sun.

Why are you writing in Doric?

HaveringWavering · 04/08/2022 00:24

Is it some sort of reference to Caroline Watt's phone falling in the North Sea?

chilliesandspices · 04/08/2022 07:44

Another thing which Vary has in her favour, is that it was a nasty sting - especially the embarrassing denouement, when she was pregnant. And she did get nasty posts on social media about it. So she deserves sympathy for that, and doesn't want or deserve to be portrayed as inhuman.

I find it very difficult to feel any sympathy for her. Some of the messages she was sending were vile. She comes across as a bully and I'm sure she'd still playing the supportive friend and wife while selling embarrassing stories if she hadn't been caught out.

StridTheKiller · 04/08/2022 07:50

What is actually wrong with this woman?
