I find it so difficult to cry. Maybe do so once every three months. Others seem to cry almost daily and find it a relief.

What about you?

A fair bit. My most recent episode was the last episode of Neighbours.

But I cry when I'm happy, sad, frustrated angry. I don't like crying when I'm angry though as I feel like it detracts from the point I want to make.

I do cry at films. My god. The Green Mile has me sobbing.

Sometimes I just watch stuff when I need a good cry.

MabelMoo23 · 02/08/2022 19:59

All the bloody time - too much! I have ADHD (diagnosed) and the RSD part of it for me is really strong so I feel emotion / criticism really intensely

germsandcoffee · 02/08/2022 20:00

I cry when I'm angry,frustrated or sad.
Never used to but the tears seem to flow these days.

@DonateBloodNCheckSmokeAlarms 💐💐💐
I wasn't too bad until I had a number of bereavements/ menopause. Now I cry at the drop of a hat.

3 or 4 times a week.

Same, about this.

Since my son died 19 months ago, every single day, sometimes more than once, I often wonder if there will ever be a day that I won't cry.

Flowers I'm so sorry x

Notateacheranymore · 02/08/2022 20:30

For me it’s too bloody often (last Wednesday, oh and on Sunday with the football result) but I am menopausal and some days have cried 3 times before I even get out the door to go to work.

PotteringPondering · 02/08/2022 20:34

Under normal circumstances, almost never (like maybe once every few years).

I had a life crisis and major breakdown about 10 years ago. I wanted to cry almost constantly, and that was the first sign something big was happening.

AffronttoBS · 02/08/2022 20:35

When my mum died when I was 20, I did not go a day without crying for a very long time. Then, it’s as if I had cried out and I almost never cried since. I remember crying maybe three times in the last 20 years, twice while watching a film (Atonement, and Maleficent-sounds pathetic, I know), the most recent time was reading about the sad death and of the boy Arthur Labinjo Hughes during lockdown.

DiscoBadgers · 02/08/2022 20:37

Well, I have a profoundly disabled DS, and a stressful and shitty NHS job so at least 3 times a day.

onecourgettetoomany · 02/08/2022 20:41

I cry at the drop of a hat when watching TV or the news but I can't cry for myself. Lifes really fucking hard at the moment and I have a lovely little 3 year old who has got cognitive disabilities and I really feel like i need to cry about that but can't. Show me some sappy shite on the TV and I'm a slimy mess but can I greive for my daughters situation? Nope.

Jalepenojello · 02/08/2022 20:42

Um I probably shed tears every day. I wouldn’t call it a “cry” though. I probably have a good cry every few months

I'm so very sorry.

Rarely, the only thing that can get me crying lately (barring anything horrific) is being worried about my kid.

I would think crying every 3 months is a lot tbh.

I really struggle to cry, haven't cried in years. This isn't a good thing as I've been through alot over the last 3 years and I think a good cry would do me some good.

A big problem for me is everytime I'm on the verge of tears the kids are around so I have to suck it up. By the time I'm alone the feeling has passed. It's so frustrating.

CleanseUsAcidRain · 02/08/2022 23:23

Used to be around weekly, sometimes more, sometimes less. Am now on antidepressants and have realised that I don't seem to be able to cry anymore. I WANT to - the feeling is there, I feel like I need to let it out, so its very frustrating that I can't have that release. It's actually quite maddening at times. Crying also serves as a bit of a warning sign that it's really time to step back and take care of myself a bit, so without that I feel like I've kind of lost an indicator of how well I'm doing. Might need to go and watch Up, All Dogs Go To Heaven and A Dog's Purpose and find out how broken I am!

DianeITV · 02/08/2022 23:40

I cry almost everyday as things seem to touch me on a much deeper level. I have quite intense empathy so I feel other people's emotions easily. However I've had to start holding back my tears as DH starts crying whenever I cry and then he goes all angry at me telling me that when I cry he cries and I need to stop because he's too manly to cry. Haven't cried for half an hour, go me 🎉

blueshoes · 02/08/2022 23:43

Practically every day, usually after I read something horrible in the news. Bawl at sad movies.

Other than that, pretty tough.

Graffittiunderpass · 02/08/2022 23:47

Very rarely. My dh can cry at the drill of a hat. The Lionesses had him in floods!

Me, not so much

AppleBottomRats · 02/08/2022 23:48

Not daily but probably a couple of times a month. I feel like I cry a lot! I do it to let off some steam mostly.

Graffittiunderpass · 02/08/2022 23:48

*drop not drill

AristoltlesMaths · 02/08/2022 23:52

I don't cry. I don't think it makes me superior or better in any fucking way to people that do cry.

I simply, don't cry.

Never have.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 02/08/2022 23:57

Very rarely. I can't remember the last time I cried.

Galaxyinmypocket · 03/08/2022 00:00

I used to cry all the time but like @dragonDan said, life has made made me tougher! Some extreme things can be happening around me and I feel the need to be strong for everyone else's sake.

I do still cry though, but its usually at simpler things (and not often) such as cars moving to let an ambulance pass, song lyrics or dropping stuff (usually during my period when I get all clumsy and awkward).

The last time I cried proper emotional tears was on the motorway passing the scene of a crash and thinking about the families getting a phonecall about it.

Bouledeneige · 03/08/2022 00:01

I cry quite a bit. I cried when the Lionesses won on Sunday and I cried at my friends funeral a month ago and quite a few times since about losing her. I cried a lot about 6 weeks ago when everything got on top of me with the combination of my friends death and a bad family relationship hit me.
