He's a total shit. Silently complaining about the kiddy noise, yet having no regard to his brand of noise pollution. feck off matey. Tempted to record their noise and when he comes out shaking his head, play it back at full volume. DD wont get it.

ReneBumsWombats · 21/07/2022 20:55

Play this very loudly at the door.

crimesagainstwine · 21/07/2022 20:56

Audible shagging noises - no

Shrieking kids (in happiness or not) - also no

Not complaining earlier about shagging is a bit dumb as now looks like you are doing tit-for-tat

Please though - kids make noise, they have fun, they are out later and longer now summer is here - all great. However please stop the absolutely unnecessary shrillness/shouting/screaming - it is infuriating when you are WFH (or not)

ArmWrestlingWithChasNDave · 21/07/2022 20:57

I'd rather have to listen to someone snagging for 20 minutes than a kid shrieking for 20 minutes... and I'm quite sure she's in the pool longer than that.

Waiting for the drip feed that your neighbour is Sting

Rosehugger · 21/07/2022 21:00

While they are shagging, draw big numbers on paper/card with a marker pen. When they've finished and emerge onto the balcony for a fag, hold up marks out of ten.

I’d be buying a trampoline for the days when it’s too cold for the paddling pool.
And Disney’s ‘it’s a small world’ played on repeat worked for us.

Agree with the song 😂

Rosehugger · 21/07/2022 21:03

NanaNelly · 21/07/2022 19:14

Can’t you just blow a toy trumpet or something at the end of the shagging so your neighbor knows you’ve heard them.

Hahaha! 😂

DoingJustFine · 21/07/2022 21:09

Is a 4 year old expected to jump around in water in the middle of summer in silence? That’s just fucking weird! She’s a kid

Take her to a swimming pool or a lido if you want her to have freedom to screech. At home, with close neighbours, you shouldn't be indulging her shouting.

tithonia · 21/07/2022 21:10

Shrieking is annoying, but I'd still rather the occasional shriek than someone's noisy sex. 😖

Surroundedbyfools · 21/07/2022 21:10

He sounds like a right twat.

let ur little one play and be happy just ignore him or tell him to piss off.

better yet next time u here than shagging woop and cheer and get ur husband to bellow go on lad and then boo when they stop !! If nothing else it’ll give u a good laugh !

frazzledasarock · 21/07/2022 18:44

Invite DD’s friends over and play baby shark on a loop.

he’ll soon shut the doors to have his day time shags.

🤣 I work in Early childhood education. And I’m sure that forcing people to listen to baby shark interminably is on some UN list somewhere as a form of torture! It’s almost as bad as being forced to listen to Coco melon, almost!

D0lphine · 21/07/2022 21:18

balalake · 21/07/2022 18:50

The response to hearing sex by neighbours should either be fake moans, or a round of applause when they finish.

Surely it's animal noises? Donkeys, elephants, moneys, pigs, cows, elephants. The choice is endless.

rwalker · 21/07/2022 21:20

2 things stand out there she's in there a lot and she shouts I'd be pissed off having to listen to that all the time .
Whats the need for her to shout mine never did when they were in the garden all to aware not every one wants to here my kid and if they got loud told them .
As for shagging ether put up it it or tell them

Grackl8 · 21/07/2022 21:23

If what you’re says is true, then your neighbour is a bit of an arse. You however are a bigger one thinking that your kid is happy laughing. Translates to very fucking annoying!!

Sitbackandunwind · 21/07/2022 21:24

@rwalker So I have to put up with their loud groans and weird shit or tell them…but if my child expresses delight in the paddling pool…she isn’t in there for long and it isn’t constant screeching/shrieking etc as that does my head in too…he doesn’t have to put up with it or tell me? Just horrible looks over and stomping around/slamming doors and ruining our summer vibes

😂😂😂

Sitbackandunwind · 21/07/2022 21:26

@Grackl8 Why wouldn’t it be true?

So what then, Dd has to stay in miserable all summer watching tv?
I spent childhood, splashing in paddling pools, having water fights..laughing and playing, how terrible

You've lost me at expressing delight
to me that translate to noisy and annoying . you've gone from she's in there a lot to now she's not in there for long .

As for there noise tell them or put up with it it won't change unless you tell them

Grackl8 · 21/07/2022 21:50

I bet your kid is annoying as fuck!

Kanaloa · 21/07/2022 21:51

Sitbackandunwind · 21/07/2022 20:39

@RobertaFirmino Charming.

She’s not repeatedly squealing loud enough for the neighbours to hear. They’re right over the road from us, very close, they could likely hear us chatting in the garden.
Is a 4 year old expected to jump around in water in the middle of summer in silence? That’s just fucking weird! She’s a kid

The opposite of screaming and squealing isn’t sitting in the pool in total silence. For a baby it’s fine, but older children should know not to screech and scream, it’s just not necessary. Singing/giggling/talking etc all fine. Screaming unnecessary.

DixonD · 21/07/2022 21:52

Isn’t this Mumsnet? Not some porn appreciating site where we all share our love for loud sex noises.

OP, let your child play as loudly as she likes. She gets one childhood. Fuck him (not literally).

NellesVilla · 21/07/2022 21:55

Tbh, you’re as bad as each other. Screeching children splashing around, laughing and shouting in happiness” is not cute to the rest of the world, only to you, OP. It’s actually really annoying. Sorry.

Earlydancing · 21/07/2022 21:55

whenever Dd laughs or shouts in happiness.

Can I ask all mums on here what age this stops? My neighbours' ( who are really lovely people) children scream and shriek in happiness ...until they start crying. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings on here or upset anyone but...it's as annoying as fuck. The little darlings enjoying themselves...why can't they do it quietly? When do they stop shouting in happiness?
