Has shrine tried the Rowntree’s ice lollies? Would you recommend them? And the rowntree’s watermelon ones? Xx

I feel this is an odd request as we have no idea at all what you and your DC like. Just go and look in the freezer section at the supermarket and choose some. I like Morrisons own take on a Solero and DH enjoys a mint Magnum. Twisters are nice and refreshing.

Holidays started early?

LesLavandes · 17/07/2022 17:00

This.

Also most supermarkets will be low on their stock of ice creams and ice lollies so you may have to choose from what is there.

Rocket lollies.

Trulyweird1 · 17/07/2022 17:06

I love the Rowntree lollies; the Watermelon are fab, but also the strawberry ones and the Fruit Pastilles.
Fruit Spilts are nice and around 6 for £1.15 in Aldi or Tesco
Intend to buy whatever is on offer , had some Fab the other day.

ecuse · 17/07/2022 17:06

Currently loving Sainsbury's Valencia orange lollies. I find lots of ice lollies boringly watery but these taste like solid Orange juice

What an odd question. Just go to the shop and have a look

DockOTheBay · 17/07/2022 17:08

I really like the rowntrees watermelon ones - they're a bit like sorbet, not as hard and watery as a normal ice lolly.

Our Aldi was also very short on ice creams/lollies of any sort yesterday - they just had loads of the relatively expensive magnum type ones and ice cream cookie sandwiches which sounded very messy! We ended up getting Viennese which are like mini vienetta on sticks, which were actually very nice.

Beachsidesunset · 17/07/2022 17:08

Fabs have it all: strawberry ice lolly, ice cream, chocolate and sprinkles!

FionnulaTheCooler · 17/07/2022 17:09

Iceland do lolly versions of classic sweets, so cola bottles, dib dabs, fruit salad, black jack etc. They are 3 boxes for a fiver just now too, they had plenty yesterday when I was there. Only tried the flumps one so far but it was nice, got the cola bottles and fruit salad for the next couple of days as well as some choc ices.
