I would ban everyone from saying or writing ‘bore off’. It’s such an unimaginative and childish phrase. It’s like something an eight year old would say.

I would ban building homes and apartments etc without adequate soundproofing. I think we’d all be a lot less stressed, annoyed, sleep deprived, angry at our neighbours if we didn’t hear every tiny noise the neighbours make or be worried about disturbing our neighbours with the normal noise of living and socialising.

I’d ban owning more than one home. No landlords other than social landlords. No air B&B bollocks or quaint little bijou holiday lets in the lakes.

All new builds should also have decent minimum square footage, as well as excellent soundproofing, inbuilt storage, and properly efficient heating and cooling.
