She stuck her middle finger up at the crowd and yelled "he who laughs last laughs best. Wait and see!"

It's so infuriating to see this country reduced to this state

But then look at what Lia Nici has now said about Angela Raynor. The party is just rotten. The fish has rotted from the head down to the tail.

It's actually insane isn't it? 😂

Especially when you look at what's tumbling out about the candidate for Prime Minister, Penny Mordaunt, who has been a member of this government for many years and is full-on gender woo. And is backed by the equally gender woo Conservative MPs Maria Miller and Caroline Nokes.

The Conservatives are very dangerous for women on two fronts: macro socio-economic, and gender ideological.

Blossomtoes · 10/07/2022 17:44

We always knew about Penny Mordaunt’s views. That’s why the constant repetition of this “at least they know what a woman is” nonsense is so farcical.

@x2boys, @Clavinova, what do you think of the behaviour of Andrea Jenkyns?

Clavinova · 10/07/2022 19:02

ApplesandBunions
I think it's a problem for a Cabinet minister to lose their rag under pressure to that extent.

She's not a cabinet minister - she's a third-tier junior minister.

There are two grades of minister above her in the DfE - James Cleverly is the Secretary of State for Education.

Quia
@ clavinova what do you think of the behaviour of Andrea Jenkyns?

She shouldn't have made the gesture obviously.

Yes, I realise that now. Doesn't change the point, though. It's not good to have someone who does something that dense in the heat of the moment, who loses their rag like that, to be in a position of power like she is.

Charlieiscool · 10/07/2022 20:03

It was an undignified and frankly appalling response from someone in her position and with her privilege and education. The arrogance of her to think that the public shouldn’t complain about their behaviour - partygate, lies, wallpaper, treehouse, shagging about, cost of living crisis, etc etc - gross incompetence in a moral vacuum. What an utter shower of shit the Tories are.

Blossomtoes · 10/07/2022 20:12

Her non apologetic justification was risible. Why did she decide Downing Street just before the resignation of a highly unpopular PM was a good place for her to be? Vile woman.

You're expecting a straight answer from those two? 😂

ilovesooty · 10/07/2022 22:38

Apologies @Clavinova i see you did answer.

Now we can wait for @x2boys do answer, but I imagine we'll be waiting a long time.

Well she was correct. She obtained a ministerial position as soon as she entered the premises. Her loyalty was rewarded. That's all you need to gain a place in Boris' cabinet. He's seen what she did but doesn't care (of fucking course). We are a failed state

The Tories don't give a shit. They think they've got two years to raid and pilfer then sit in opposition and blame Labour (disgusting there's only two parties to choose from)

OP posts:
Blossomtoes · 11/07/2022 00:42

What are they going to “raid and pilfer”? If we have two years before another election I’ll eat my handbag.
