Her 'apology' made me laugh. Baying mob indeed - bit like being a teacher then! Unfortunately, I don't think we'd get away with the middle finger approach in response to some rowdy year 9s...

As a teacher and a parent, I find her behaviour abhorrent. If I behaved like that in a professional capacity, I’d be fired with no questions asked. How can I condemn the poor behaviour of pupils if I can’t behave appropriately myself. If I acted like that as a parent, those around me would question the example I am setting my children!
It’s about time that educators, the children we care for and parents had a minister for education that they could have confidence in! One with decorum, who can set an example would be nice! One with any kind of experience on any kind of school would be even better.

I was there throughout this - in front of Downing Street gates. The “baying mob” was actually quite a lot of women - one was clutching a photograph of her husband who died from covid.

Some of the people protesting were bereaved people holding up pictures of loved ones who had died of Covid while all the parties were going on, do they deserve a middle finger? She needs firing!

Unacceptable behaviour.

Ironically a teacher doing what she did would lose their job.

She's also married to a fellow MP who not only has a highly unsavoury background, but had an affair with her while still married to his wife who had supported him through bowel cancer.

She stated that she has received death threats. Obviously death threats to any MP are reprehensible. However she was happy to provide a character reference for a man who'd made death threats to Yvette Cooper.

Unacceptable but minor compared to the behaviour of the as of today Prime Minister. Or Mr Pincher.

Angela Rayner apologised properly. And was only rude about MPs. I do not agree with what she did at all as the left have to be so much more well behaved than tories or it plays into the whataboutery as seen here

Nothing that will succeed. Johnson’s allies are few in number and smaller still in intelligence. They know they’re a busted flush and Jenkyns’ behaviour perfectly illustrates why. I very much hope she and her disgusting husband both lose their seats the next time they’re up for election.

Perhaps I should have responded a la Andrea Jenkyns. I'm sure that would have been ok, and people would have understood that I'd reached the end of my tether.

I think it's a problem for a Cabinet minister to lose their rag under pressure to that extent. The other examples people have given are not the same circumstances.
