Why is it that the gussets are so tiny that you've always got a flap hanging out?

Why are most knickers I've come across like this?

I'd like something that covers my neatly trimmed lady garden without having to suffer a front wedgie.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

My 16 year old self, who wouldn't buy any lingerie if it wasn't girlie, pretty and frilly (and often impractical) from La Senza, would be cowering in fear at this thread and just how many ladies are embracing BIG COMFY PANTS.

I'm a few days away from my 40th birthday and I'm embracing it now. Hooray for big cotton knicks!

I had a moment's madness in lockdown and ordered a pair of what I thought would be pretty, lace things that were bigger than the sort of stuff I used to wear but still less industrial in nature - from Figleaves, which I thought might be a reasonable quality brand in the great scale of things.

Bloody hell, it was like sitting on a giant cheesegrater. And the middle part was still too narrow to do anything but pick a side to blister.

I used to have this problem until I read a thread on here where someone recommended Mardypants. They're a real game changer for me. Comfy, cotton, sturdy fabric, cover my huge arse and both flaps and I love the colours and patterns. I can't go back even to the Sloggi highleg ones I was wearing before which were the best of the rest.

Has anyone tried the knickers from Snag? I was considering buying them when ordering up a couple of tights for the winter.

I’ve never had this problem and I wear low rise thongs. I size up one or sometimes two sizes.

Perhaps they should do wide and narrow fittings, like with shoes

This is me, too. M&S stopped selling the low rise garter ones which l love, but l've managed to stock on multipacks on Ebay. I've got so many now they should last me until l shuffle off this mortal coil.
I just can't wear 'big' knickers. I have a few pairs of M&S Brazilian ones for hospital visits, etc, and l get far too hot. I can't wait to take them off!

HIGHLY recommend these ones from H&M. Sooooooo comfortable, total bum coverage, easy to wear sanitary towels with. They are also 95% cotton @YetAnotherSpartacus (100% cotton crotch).

And no I don’t work for H&M, I just spent years looking for knickers as comfy as these!

I'm literally in a Facebook group called 'But where do my flaps go?' And it's full of people posting pictures of stupid garments that will almost certainly leave your labia hanging out the sides

I second these, really comfortable - there are several brands with a similar style.
Only problrm I've found is finding a neutral colour for wearing under thin summer clothes - I eventually went with "beige" - turned out to be a peachy pink, possibly flesh tone if you happen to be a 1970's barbie doll.

Find their advertising campaign very offputting.

Like the H and M shorts. I like a good boyshort.

I have no idea what snag pants would look like on me, they don't seem inclusive with their models at all, just switched one body type for another.

I like the Bjorn Borg mini shorts for a fully enclosed bottom and no nonsense gusset width

Haha this is great as is the thread. My wife has same issue, bum coverage not flaps, or she has never told me lol. She now loves m&s midi. Always in thongs pre DD won't go near them now! I think she looks sexy in big knickers! As for men in knickers, well men's underwear I generally rubbish and gives little support, nothing worse than balls slapping around. Tried a pair of wife's in for a laugh and they actually fitted better due to more elastic than my sloggi briefs that I swear my!
