Just had a binge watch of old episodes of Americas Next top model on youtube and it showed me Katie and Peter stateside - their opd documentary..I used to watch it and love them as a couple together. Was gutted when they split but like everyone else at the time I remember thinking how awful Katie was and how she was in the wrong during that infamous massive row they had in that shop in LA.
It pops back up and so I watch it again, near in mind this is after years of me seeing ir. And cant believe it! Its like a brand new argument - completely saw this in a different way.
Pete was the onein the wrong, not Katie. In fact he was awful, actually abusive? Swearing at her calling her a f*king b**ch, "a cow", "you think youre gonna get away with it?"
Bleeding hell, if this isnt abusive I dont know what is! Im more in shock because I remember all the stick KP got, the hate campaign and the "team Pete" . He deserves a medal and all that bollocks.
It just doesnt make sense. How can anyone see it for what itnwas? In fact watching it again, KP hardly spoke..it was all Pete winding her uo, qlmost goading her and then blasting her when she bit back at him..Im just really shocked I guess....😶 makes you wonder how things can get so easily misrepresented.

I commented earlier upthread saying he was a cheesy one hit wonder who used her to spring board a UK reality career. I hadn't even seen those clips and they are awful - the constant put downs and snide remarks. He clearly thinks and acts as if he was better than her.

I never trusted that man. I remember when people were saying whether they were 'Team Katie' and 'Team Peter' and Peter wore a t-shirt saying 'Team Kids'. It seems so sly and manipulative, like he was trying to twist the narrative and imply that he was above it all and only focussing on their kids, hinting that Katie wasn't. It seemed so calculated and try-hard.

When he talked recently about impact RV has on him talking to the press claiming he had a small penis, I felt sorry for him and that he had a point as no one would accept a man saying same thing. Now I just hear a hypocrite. As HE DID on TV about his own wife!!! By her reaction of "why do you always put me down?" (and rather than stop HE DOUBLES DOWN!) hinting her bits are big she can't feel it, is absolutely disgusting (and abusive). He picks at her appearance and body and over sexualises her all the time in those clips.

But he has been proven right hasn't he? She doesn't give a shit about the kids and has chosen her boyfriend over her children. She has a 2 hour supervised visit a week, and fucks off on holiday as soon as she didn't get jailed missing one of the children's birthdays. Her boyfriend is not allowed around the children and most mums would dump the boyfriend if SS said that he can't be around the kids, but nope she just carries on and says OK I won't see the kids as much.

What about all the times she has been abusive? If you watch the actual series and not highlights that a fan account has put together of his bad bits how about you watch it and see what her abusive is about.

Peter Andre and her haven’t even spoken for about a decade, is her behaviour today ( 2 husbands and various fiancés later) still all his fault? The only person shoving coke up her nose, abusing her kids stepmom to the point she is banned from their primary school and drunk driving with a man her children despise is Katie herself.
Her PR must have started and are contributing to this thread as I can’t believe the constant excuses being made for her.

I agree- this thread is bloody weird. PA might not be as super cheesy as he makes out but he has now settled down in what appears to be a very healthy/stable relationship whilst KP has introduced multiple new step dads to her kids often when theyve barely started seeing each other, taken drugs, lost custody of her own kids, harrassed her ex's new partner, been in court multiple times for dangerous/drink driving and missed her own kids birthdays because she was on yet another holiday with her drug dealing boyfriend. But yeah- how awful is Peter?! WTAF?

Who is the common denominator in all the failed relationships Katie has had? And yet many of her exes have gone on to have healthy and seemingly happy relationships with other people. Whilst Katie lurches from one chaotic mess to another.
She is the one who needs help (proper help, not fannying around taking selfies outside the Priory), not Peter, who has established a secure and stable family base for two of the kids Katie has effectively abandoned in pursuit of her own demons.

I haven’t made it his fault. I said that particular behaviour was wrong and weird and I dislike him. I also think her behaviour is generally poor and I pity and dislike her most of the time. Where did I make her behaviour over the last decade his fault? Or did you just invent that?

And the thread title isn’t saying PA is awful and horrible and KP is a wonderful angel. It’s talking about one specific televised argument where the op originally thought KP came across badly (and she was slated for widely) but in retrospect actually he was behaving really poorly despite somehow coming out of it well.

Yes, 15 BLOODY YEARS AGO!! Why bring it up now, unless to deflect from whatever's going on in, or about to be revealed about Katie's current life?
And Peter didn't come out of it well. He was slated for it at the time and since. Their relationship was toxic, particularly by the end and he has taken steps to learn from and to remove himself from that whole unsavoury episode. I'd guess he's pretty ashamed and embarrassed about it all.
