To only just realise it was Peter Andre in the wrong not Katie P!

This is a random thread..if you arent interested in Katie and Peter please dont bother reading...
Just had a binge watch of old episodes of Americas Next top model on youtube and it showed me Katie and Peter stateside - their opd documentary..I used to watch it and love them as a couple together. Was gutted when they split but like everyone else at the time I remember thinking how awful Katie was and how she was in the wrong during that infamous massive row they had in that shop in LA.
It pops back up and so I watch it again, near in mind this is after years of me seeing ir. And cant believe it! Its like a brand new argument - completely saw this in a different way.
Pete was the onein the wrong, not Katie. In fact he was awful, actually abusive? Swearing at her calling her a f*king b**ch, "a cow", "you think youre gonna get away with it?"
Bleeding hell, if this isnt abusive I dont know what is! Im more in shock because I remember all the stick KP got, the hate campaign and the "team Pete" . He deserves a medal and all that bollocks.
It just doesnt make sense. How can anyone see it for what itnwas? In fact watching it again, KP hardly spoke..it was all Pete winding her uo, qlmost goading her and then blasting her when she bit back at him..Im just really shocked I guess....😶 makes you wonder how things can get so easily misrepresented.
What does everyone think?

And is repeatedly caught on camera with her young children in the car without being strapped in to car seats?

im no fan of KP and most of the time I think she’s awful but I remember watching that show when it aired and thinking Pete was a manipulative, controlling, gaslighting cunt. He’s awful- I don’t get the adoration for him

Thread being allowed to stand cos we're knocking PA? If we're reading the same thread, there's a lot of KP knocking/hating going on. Nothing justified PA's apparent abuse, there's a lot of handmaidens of the patriarchy on here. I'm suprised MN haven't knocked it on the head for the misogyny, presumably expressed by women on here. Makes me Sad and Angry

Peter Andre wouldn't be where he is now if he hadn't met Katie in the jungle. She was his meal ticket
He'd still be playing pubs and clubs if it wasn't for her.

Gosh, it's almost as if there were some kind of orchestrated "let's discredit Peter" campaign going at the moment, as some kind of deflection.
Now, who would that be in the interests of?

That footage in LA was an unpleasant snapshot of a relationship that had become toxic and was in its dying throes. Lots of people are not behaving their best at that sort of time. Peter and Katie are no different. I don't think that means that he is abusive. Get some perspective, fgs.

And out of the two of them, who is it with the criminal convictions, with numerous court appearances? Who has had SS at their door? Whose partner has been banned from contact with their children? Who was filmed about "loving the coke?"
Certainly not Peter. HE is the one who has given the two elder children a stable family and upbringing, with a decent education.

I can't stand PA. I always thought he was abusive in their shows. One episode he was whining on that they hadn't had sex for ages - after it was reported that KP had a miscarriage at the same time he was pestering her for sex. No wonder he was furious the MC story had come out, it exposed him as the misogynistic, abusive fucker he is, but he needn't have worried because people overlooked it just to hammer Katie a little bit more.

Not keen on Katie either, she's her own worst enemy but she isn't pretending to be anything else - he, on the other hand has made a living out of being 'Poor 'loves his kids' Pete!' 🙄

Racism and classism has a lot to do with the way she is viewed and the abuse she gets.

And, OP, can I suggest that you do a bit of digging with regards to who posted the TikTok footage that you're frothing about. Have a think about a possible agenda?

and this is at the expense of her children happiness and safety

ffs she takes her son who has severe learning disabilities to a meet and greet in a club as she knows it will gain more publicity

She is a vile person, and while I definitely don't condone women being referred to as bxxxhs etc, I can fully understand why anyone in an intimate relationship would end up wanting to call her that. I would also imagine the show is heavily edited to make her look good and him look like the villain.

From the snippets of the relationship seeing them together I remember thinking she was quite mean though I haven't watched the footage of his abuse.

All of her relationships before and after PA were toxic.

It was Claire his manager and Friend who checked the editing and signed off each episode. I remember them talking about it during the show when it was on. It was also Claire who signed off each interview and what questions they got asked in tv interviews etc.

I remember seeing her on a talk show going on about their sex life and how rubbish PA was in bed and how he didn’t satisfy her. Both hideous to each other and a toxic relationship that probably brought the worst out in each other.

The link of him in the segway shop is awful and the one where Nicola(??) is asking him to visit Katie in hospital, I didn't even realise they were talking about her, I thought it was someone he barely knew, not his wife! There seemed no emotional connection at all.
Why was she in hospital? And who is with Pete? (I never watched the show)

Katie seemed much quiter and calmer than recent clips or interviews where she (imo) has seemed hyper animated. And (completely irrelevant) she was so pretty!

that pa isn’t as much as a saint as made out

yes she could be a better mum

and doesn’t pick the right men

and wrong fir drink driving etc

but as above pa was often the starter of rows on tv

he wound her up many times

you don’t do that to someone you love
