In your opinion are these messages flirty or not? A is male, B is female.

A - Hey, how did the class go? I never made it, sorry! Let me know which one it is and I will do it tonight.
B - I’ve not done it yet, it’s tomorrow at 5.30 😀
A - ah OK, will try and jump on it tomorrow 😀good luck, get near the front 😂
B - I’ll do my best! I’m going with my friend so we’ll be barging our way to the front 😂

No not flirty. Here for the backstory

Easilystartled · 01/07/2022 00:00

I think A is being a bit try hard. Not necessarily flirty, but definitely wanting to initiate conversation/contact. B seems to be firmly friend zoning.

dustandroses · 01/07/2022 00:02

Nope

Hillary17 · 01/07/2022 00:02

Not even a little bit

WishILivedInThrushGreen · 01/07/2022 00:05

Amiable. Not flirty.

ddl1 · 01/07/2022 00:12

Not flirty at all.

longcoffeebreak · 01/07/2022 00:14

not flirty

EatYourVegetables · 01/07/2022 00:18

The amount of smiley grinney lol hilarious faces is making my jaw hurt.

Neither A nor B are saying anything remotely funny so all the rotfls are really out of place.

CustardySergeant · 01/07/2022 00:19

Casual and friendly but not flirty at all.

Larmes · 01/07/2022 00:19

Not flirty. Friendly, normal.

EatYourVegetables · 01/07/2022 00:20

I’m reading the “ I’ll be there with a friend” as defensive, so maybe unwanted attention? But that’s a stretch on such thin evidence.

MyAnacondaMight · 01/07/2022 00:20

Not even remotely flirty. Just friendly.

Onthedunes · 01/07/2022 00:21

A is trying too hard

B is keeping them at bay

Sorry

SherbertLemonDrop · 01/07/2022 00:25

I text my school mum friends just like that and I definitely am not flirting. Odd thing to ask. Is your OH trying to make you feel like you've done something wrong?

LAtalante · 01/07/2022 00:25

Yes. Maybe the lightest shade of this, but I'm possibly reaching because of the OP's question.

AuntTwacky · 01/07/2022 00:30
Confused
MustardCress · 01/07/2022 00:36

Not flirty. A seems non-commital but also trying to keep something going with B. Could be nothing, could be something.

AchatAVendre · 01/07/2022 00:43

Men don't generally go that effort and get involved in that amount of detail over such a simple thing if they don't have an interest in the woman they are communicating with. Of course if there is a logical explanation for this, then fine.

Annoyedwithmyself · 01/07/2022 00:44

Not flirty without further context. Depending on the context, A could be making an effort to join something B does regularly (say pilates) but B is shutting this down as an activity for just the 2 of them by saying her friend will be there.

mammamiafrozenpizza · 01/07/2022 00:55

I think it may depend on the personalities of the people involved. It's not overtly flirty, but if someone is typically quiet or even gruff, being very friendly and using lots of happy emojis could arguably be mild flirting. Some of us don't like to come on strong, so something of this kind can be our way of testing the waters or trying to come across as positive and fun.

ekinsu · 01/07/2022 01:22

not at all

Hotnashsummerday · 01/07/2022 01:24

No

Divebar2021 · 01/07/2022 01:33

Did the message contain a dick pic? In which case no it’s not flirty.

LetitiaLeghorn · 01/07/2022 01:36

Not.

Mothership4two · 01/07/2022 02:07

Not flirty in the least. I'm curious to know why the OP asked the question
