I was shopping in Sainsbury’s and thought I’d take a quick look at the undies section. A man (in his 60’s maybe) was standing in front of the bras just staring at them. At first I thought he was with someone and just zoning out while she was looking at knickers but no, he seemed to be on his own.

I was opposite looking at the knickers myself for a little while so I noticed him just standing there, entranced by the array of bras. After I turned to carry on my shopping, I saw him dart out his hand and start awkwardly fondling a couple of the bras. Then he looked about shiftily and shuffled off.

I don’t normally notice or care about men in the wimmens section, I assume they’re either with someone or looking to buy something. But he just seemed ‘off’ somehow.

YABU: Who are you to question his motives/Wouldn’t bother me
YANBU: Seems a bit odd/Would bother me

Hellithurt You are deterred from buying your DH pants, because shop assistants offer just assistance when you are buying other clothes?

Can I just clarify for once and for all that I do not buy my DH's pants.

He buys them himself.

Startling, I know.

However, should I develop an intense desire to purchase him pants or indeed any other item of clothing, then please be informed that my sheer determination would enable to develop the valuable ability to do so.

Stop observing (more than once, as you've admitted) men buying underwear.

What do you suggest I do? Wear blinkers?

I didn’t say or do anything to him, I didn’t even look askance at him

You're watching them! Stop being so perverse! It's beyond odd!

Weirdo

@Busybeedle it wound you up enough to make post about it GrinGrinGrin

It didn’t wind me up

I was mildly amused and thought it was a bit odd. And I’m just answering your posts, on a… forum…

I said maybe I was BU to think it was odd, sure, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s U to have noticed it. You seem to think I should walk around with downcast eyes? Weird

Any number of reasons.

  • Choosing one for a lady friend/wife/mum/daughter.

  • Mindlessly staring while waiting for his partner who was trying something on/in the next aisle.

Wouldn't give it another thought.

This wouldn’t bother me in the slightest- I might have a little snigger to myself but that’s it!

But he was “ fondling “ don’t you know, hyacinth here is all bothered by it. What’s the world coming too when blokes can fondle bras in sainsbos.😂
