One overrated thing, in your view?

Hotel Chocolat chocolate. I've just had the salted caramel puddles and they were nothing to write home about (and I love chocolate).
To be fair, I have plebeian chocolate tastes and it could just be that their milk chocolate has a higher cocoa content than most, and doesn't taste creamy enough.
I still don't enjoy their chocolate though.

Agree on Hotel Chocolat. Unfortunately there's one near my DH's work so I've had extensive experience of how disappointing they are.

National Trust tearooms. Overpriced and stale cakes. And the price of the jacket potatoes!

Car ownership. Leads to a stressful, all-consuming obsession with parking if mumsnet is anything to go by. Would rather just hire one for when we need it and give it back when we don’t, and let some other poor bugger figure out where to put it.
