To think life would be better if it was June in perpetuity?

Would it become tiresome? I can not forsee that happening.

All the hard work in spring has paid off in the garden, the birds are in full song, the days are warm and long. I've convinced myself I am not being unreasonable. Long live June.

You could go and live in the Canary Islands where they are blessed with eternal spring but yes I agree, June is perfect.

Headbeforeheart · 14/06/2022 20:09

I quite like the change of seasons because it's nice to have the contrast. I'd definitely make June much longer with a long Autumn and a short sharp crisp December.

Pinksalty · 14/06/2022 20:09

Nope - I hate that it’s practically daylight until after 10pm and then bright at 4am!

ilovesooty · 14/06/2022 20:10

I'd love that.

megletthesecond · 14/06/2022 20:11

I agree. I don't like the cold and dark at all.

ShowOfHands · 14/06/2022 20:11

No Christmas? No Autumn? No snow?

Nooooooooooo.

UrsulaPandress · 14/06/2022 20:11

I do love the seasons but more June and less January would be perfect.

Why?

12Thorns · 14/06/2022 20:13

I hate it!!! Love October and November. Though.

it’s possible to always live in summer, you can follow it around the globe. I know a few wealthy pensioners that do exactly that

Pluvia · 14/06/2022 20:15

The birds are already getting quieter round here. They were much noisier at the end of April when mating and nest-building were a priority. The first babies are now hatched and on the wing and many of the parents will be getting on with a second brood.

I love April: all that new spring green growth. I'd love a world where we went from 1 April to the end of June, then back to 1 April, and on and on, cutting out the rest of the year.

Chaoslatte · 14/06/2022 20:15

Definitely not. Too hot to sleep properly, sweating, bugs…

WhatsInAMolatovMocktail · 14/06/2022 20:16

If I could keep the three tiny baby bluetits that are on my bird feeder forevermore that would be ideal! Yes I love June although my hayfever is awful this year… I love the long days, the fact it isn’t too hot to sleep at night, the cooler breezier days mixed in with warm sunny ones. I love June.

Abra1d1 · 14/06/2022 20:17

It has been perfect here this evening. It’s what gets me through the dark winter, the memory of June evenings.

Surely they're blessed with eternal summer? It's hot!

whirlyswirly · 14/06/2022 20:19

Yes! June in Cornwall is just perfection. Post work sea swims, weekends on the beach, flowers everywhere and not too busy.

CornishYarg · 14/06/2022 20:19

YABU - currently suffering from horrendous hayfever so don't want that as a permanent feature. I'd happily stick with Sept/Oct personally

Mymoneydontjigglejiggle · 14/06/2022 20:20

Yabu. Too bloody hot, hayfever and insects everywhere. I strongly dislike summer! Love spring and autumn so I'd say long live September or March kind of time Grin

Nooooooooooo.

I hate Christmas, autumn and snow.

stargirl1701 · 14/06/2022 20:22

No. I like seasons.

Magnolia08 · 14/06/2022 20:22

I ❤️ June.

It feels like the best of summer, light evenings, long days, fairly decent but not too roasting weather and it feels like summer is just beginning.

July/august feels like summer is slipping away too fast.

Ferrarilover · 14/06/2022 20:23

Not this June, where I am in the north. We've had better weather in February.

JimTheShit · 14/06/2022 20:25

Yes. I’m also a May fan.

runwithme · 14/06/2022 20:25

Hay-fever, the creepy crawlies, body odour in the office, constantly needing legs waxed... no thanks!

TheDuchessOfMN · 14/06/2022 20:25

My roses are blooming in all their glory.

So, I agree with you Smile

womaninatightspot · 14/06/2022 20:25

Nooo the middies have just sprung up where I am. I like the crisp, sunny days of autumn when the bugs have died off.
