To be concerned that the Depp/Heard trial has put off genuine DV victims from coming forward?

The Depp/Heard trial was troubling to me.

On the one hand, people do sometimes make false allegations, especially after relationship breakups.

On the other hand, dragging someone to court for alleging domestic violence might deter some women from reporting it.

Assuming the court got it right and Depp was not a perpetrator, how could he have handled the situation so that it would not put domestic violence victims off coming forward for fear of being sued?

We will see about that. Firstly Depp's win was her v depp. Her win was her v waldman. Very different.

I don't think waldman lied. I think they absolutely set that scene up, just like heard set this all up and lost. However, jury thought different so respect that.

It is completely relevant to survivors who have suffered narcissistic abuse. Completely. You don't have a normal life living with these individuals.

I didnt understand why she was awarded anything during this trial as it was Waldman, not JD.

The law of defamation @BlanketsBanned which goes to show the jury really was impartial, despite what Heard claims. She can't have it both ways!

She's is a narcissist, lying, hypocrite. Any sympathy I felt has gone since the verdict (bigger fool me for trying my hardest to be fair to her), her behaviour, her lawyers behaviour since and apologists.

Why you are so insistent on AH being a narcissist?

JD too shows narcissistic traits but I wouldn’t call him a narcissist or AH it’s a diagnosis that very few people have for a reason

She didn't diagnose narcissism though. BPD is very different. I don't know much about histrionic except that it's not used much anymore.

That woman is severely ill though, whatever personality disorder she has. To me she's a narc. She triggers me so I'm posting angry now and I've tried my absolute best.

I think playing at being a rock star with your rock star friends is pretty narcissistic and something JD used to say he would never do but well it keeps him in the limelight

I found him turning up to court with War blazing was a complete disregard for legal process and of course it has a message. He is 58 ffs not a teenager in court for selling a bit of weed

and surrounding yourself with people that live off you tend to your every need and indulge you has created a man who struggles with reality but he doesn’t need to do this
