To be concerned that the Depp/Heard trial has put off genuine DV victims from coming forward?

The Depp/Heard trial was troubling to me.

On the one hand, people do sometimes make false allegations, especially after relationship breakups.

On the other hand, dragging someone to court for alleging domestic violence might deter some women from reporting it.

Assuming the court got it right and Depp was not a perpetrator, how could he have handled the situation so that it would not put domestic violence victims off coming forward for fear of being sued?

She pointed it out assuming I knew and claimed I was doing it to abuse which was untrue. So again, nice try. I was asking a question and she felt unable to answer so she claimed my comments were in response to her family without any comment from me being of that nature. There was no link at all and no prior reading from me just a blatant accusation of abuse when there was a challenging question and then you jumped on with the assumptions too.

She previously assumed I had supported AH too and was quite happy challenging me in debate.

I have read the witness statements

It was a verbal altercation.

The person "abused" used racial slurs against a homeless black woman who got in the way on location on set. Depp verbally attacked this person.

Said person half an hour later posted a selfie on Instagram with depp after shaking hands. Time stamped and verified.

Said person now changed his story. Every other witness on set, with photo evidence contradicts another liar.

But hey, the actual victim the homeless back woman let's throw her under the bus too because we have to hate Depp.

I'm not. I've seen his Instagram post taken less than an hour later, laughing and smiling with Depp with his arms around him, also entered into evidence which aligns with the witness statements
