To say I love summer but I can't wait for the darker days

I usually love summer but the last few weeks I've found myself wishing for darker days. I wake up in the morning and the sun/ light is beaming in. I might as well be sleeping outside. I want cosy snuggles in my duvet with snow outside. But I also want to feel the sun on my face.

If you can't wear your flip flops in June then when can you?! This is the summer. Not asking too much to be out of coats for a few weeks a year

When it’s not raining. You wouldn’t go to the north pole in flip flops because it’s July. You wouldn’t visit Texas in a snow suit because it’s November. Normal people look at the weather and dress appropriately. Raincoat for rainy days, sun hat for warm days. It’s stupid to say you stood in the pouring rain in flip flops and a skirt and act like other people in raincoats are the weirdos because it’s June.

It's not even Summer yet... Buy an eye mask, this will solve your problem.

Uk summers do not mean staying indoors between 11-3 and needing to forgo eye makeup!

Even in the UK the skin cancer prevention advice is to stay indoors or seek shade during the hottest part of the day in summer.

I saw someone in a bobble hat the bus stop today and I honestly could have cried!

But the OP didn't say she wanted rain and wind and cold. Just darker mornings. In many parts of the world there are nice sunny days which end at 7pm and begin at 7am or later. Sounds good to me

And why would you be trapped in the house after dark? Do your doors lock automatically as soon as the sun goes down? Nonsense! Summer evenings would still be warm at 7pm after a warm day.

But the OP didn't say she wanted rain and wind and cold.

She said she wanted snow!

“I want cosy snuggles in my duvet with snow outside.”

Oh ok
I missed that 😂

When people wank on about "cozy snuggles" and "hot choccie under the blanket", I fantasize about their death.

I love summer I love the sun. I love the warmth
I love summer days. I would move to a hot country if I could. But. I hate the sun shining in my bedroom at 5am when I'm trying to sleep. The brightness of it. The hot bedroom (no windows open due to hayfever). Throwing the duvet off as it's just too warm to have it on. Waking up with hayfever and a stuffy nose and itchy eyes. Unable to lie in because of the light/heat and hearing people outside at a really early hour.

Antihistamines and blackout blinds are your friends.
