To think Harry and Meg should be banned from the Queens Jubilee?

CallMeCatherine · 28/05/2022 20:58

Why are they bothering?

They hate the UK, the RF, the whole institution and couldn’t wait to escape, accused the RF and British public of being racist, not welcoming Meg, or caring about her mental health. Her SIL even made her cry allegedly! They did a public interview about it being so hard being a Duke and Duchess in the UK that they just had to flee to a California mansion so they could be Royal there instead.

Do we as the public want to see them at a publicly funded celebration of our Queens 70 years on our throne? All they’ve done is embarrass the monarchy selling stories and their connection.

AIBU to think the Queen should have cut them orf?

[Yes, Andrew has massively embarrassed the monarchy as well but he didn’t flounce from the UK and give interviews about how the RF let him down.]

The body language has always been territorial for those who are able to read it. This includes unconvincing displays of affection in public and hand grabbing at wildly inappropriate times. This is odd for a forty year old woman and it is not loving but signaling/controlling in what it conveys.

Umm, I think Harry has understood that if he is going (and his grandmother would rightfully expect this), then she WILL be coming with him even though nobody wants to see her.
Unfortunately, it is a relationship where the person who feels aggrieved and rejected reacts by seeking to control the one whom they have isolated for their own benefit. Therefore, she would DEMAND to be a witness to all the (dull) family chit chat to make sure that nobody exerts an adverse influence upon him and turns him against her at record speed. I expect all his communications are policed in the same way.

Wow, the projection of a hateful and cynical narrative there is absurd. You don't know any of that at all, but clearly that's what you want to believe of her.

queenofarles · 31/05/2022 17:52

There were so many comparisons between Kate and William’s former girlfriends. She was plain MC compared to all the UC blue bloods like Isabella Calthorpe.

You're just embarrassing yourself now with this kind of spiteful and absurd reaching.

Yes, that’s my take too. She is very dominant in nearly every situation in which they are photographed. The recent polo game where she presented an award being a prime example. The body language screams control.

Ahgoonyegirlye · 31/05/2022 17:58

We’ll, they aren’t wrong. The reporting in them deffo had a racist whiff, but she is his grandmother so…

ICanSmellSummerComing · 31/05/2022 18:08

Yes the sheer class of Charlies getting help and support from Jimmy savile and tampons gate... before swiftly out classing on Fergies toes and the horrific Andrew

Anyway,I'm glad she's going to see lilibet on her first bday.

What an incredible day for baby lilibet!!

How dare that black woman step out of line
I cant believe that you are arguing that you are not an out and out racist.

Nothing like the type of comparison I posted earlier.

It is ALL about class. There is a glaringly obvious, unbridgeable class gap. The harder she tries (yes, she does try hard) , the more obvious it becomes.
This has triggered a whole host of problems and obliged Harry to give up/push away everything/everyone whom she sees as a threat (which is most of what he knows).
There has been a gold medal worthy acceleration to marriage and 2.4 kids (and a dog) within record time. It is very different to their previous relationship patterns.
During the young children phase, she would naturally have the upper hand and he will be wishing to demonstrate unity against all odds. That stance grows tired quickly.

You forget the ending line- and I am not a racist

Class- of course. Is that something that only white people can have?

You dont know them
they are not your friends
You cant possibly have any insight into what they or any other member of the royal family think!

It is all in your mind!

I cant believe that you are arguing that you are not an out and out racist.

Sadly, you are unable to allow for any possibility other than that one so you will forever drop that accusation around (by design).

ICanSmellSummerComing · 31/05/2022 18:23

Well no one wanted to see Camilla's, Fergie or Diana either at various points so Megan joins a long line of women not wanting to be seen by the royal family; if that's true.

FloweryCurtainTwitcher · 31/05/2022 18:24

The only way to tackle such embedded racism is to stand up and be counted every single time

To call people out- every single time
To not let lies be repeated so often that they are seen as truths

To make MN a space where people who are not white can feel safe (which I am not sure that it is at the moment)

We cant stand by and let this racism happen. Look at the speech of Stephen Fry this week- we are complacent in the Uk whilst racism pervades every layer of our society.

have you called Harry out on his racism?

I dont know Harry.
I am sure that you know his most intimate thoughts and have a direct line to the palace.

I do know that research shows that children who grow up in racist homes are much more likely to hold racist views.

Thats concerning for us all isnt it?

I hope you never embarass yourself by spouting silly, spiteful armchair psychology like this aloud in real life.
Honestly some decidely oddbod women hate MM as if she's stolen their man.

You dont know these people and clearly spend way to much time peering at them and becoming delusional.

I see the Union Jack(booters) are out in force again. Harry didnt marry an English Rose. The Queen's not going to banish her own grandson even if a million if you gnash teeth. MM & H arent going to split up to appease miserable bitter souls wishing ill upon a couple and their children.

Get over it and get a life.

Let me repeat
Children raised in racist families are more likely to demonstrate racist views as adults

Was that interview last week?
Luckily not everyone who is racist remains so.

I have no idea about his current views but his actions suggest that he is not racist.

My best friend is muslim, wears a hijab and has suffered discrimination. I do not see the usual suspects (who come on these threads screaming accusations of racism and rallying support) passionately contributing to threads defending asians experiencing racism. Do they matter too?

I cant stop laughing. As said earlier I am mixed race and mixed faith. I defend Muslims and those of SE Asian heritage every single day of my life. Repeatedly.

The Queen is on video performing a Nazi salute. Did you know that?

TheKeatingFive · 31/05/2022 18:45

For all those who (consciously or subconsciously) would have preferred it if Harry had married an aristocratic English rose. It's important to note that none of those who dated him wanted the gig.

Presumably because they knew better than anyone the shit they'd have to put up with from the press.

So Harry has every right to be grateful for Meghan's audacity/naivety/balls (insert adjective of choice here). He has a family life and two lovely children because of it.

So, if I do a search then there will be evidence of your equally robust contributions to those threads. no, I didn't think so.
