With the sun trial, JD was restricted in what evidence he could produce.

Also AH testimony and some "friends" have changed their testimony since the sun case, which is again casting doubt for some people.

It's why JD stated that this trial, is the first time he's been able to really speak openly about it all, as there were fewer restrictions on evidence and testimony.

I wonder when they will return a verdict. Tuesday is their first day back so I'm gonna bet 50p on Thursday afternoon.

Thanks EN

Quickly read through it says about the blood writing on the mirror but nothing about the finger and that AH had produced medical records for herself?

Did I miss her medical records in this case?

ENoeuf · 29/05/2022 15:22

She tried to reference nose surgery or assessment after her marriage but wasn't allowed. This was I think in the cross with Camille?

@Greyhop I watched it mostly on Sky, live streamed without commentary. I steer well clear from any sensationalism or any Facebook streaming where I see a lot of bullying/derogatory comments aimed at AH.

"I believe JD could be awarded defecation due to it"

I understand that he's already been granted that. 💩 😅

I'm not going to escape that typo am I 😂

Weirdly though, I find it more disgusting that they were living with two dogs that shit all over the place, than if she did curl out one on his bed.

I don't know why that is 😳

Maybe on reflection, because if it was her it's an isolated incident. But if it was the dogs and they had "issues" then the dogs must have been shitting all over their house constantly 🤮 grim...

Onthedunes · 29/05/2022 15:27

What side wanted this televised, I'm presuming Depp's, and who allowed it.

I do think Depp's threat of total world wide humiliation was his understanding how Amber's reasoning skills would be put on show, I do not think it was an orchestrated smear campaigne he had in mind.

Much of Amber's humiliation are from her actions, her words, her reactions.

Yes there are no perfect victims but Christ, this woman's critical thinking skills are shooting herself in the foot.

The viewing public are not idiots.

TiddyTidTwo · 29/05/2022 15:29

It was quite a big poo for a little bum to be fair.

I'm confused by that story but in the big scheme of things, I felt sorry for the cleaners!

Just watching the closing on Emily D Baker’s YouTube, she is brilliant

She's on Spotify too. She is fab.

unctuousunicorns1 · 29/05/2022 15:34

Yes, Depp wanted it televised. I don't know if he had any say in what was presented by the defence, presumably not. I don't know if he expected or knew that stuff like the cutting audio, and the moaning on the plane would be part of it and broadcast to the world. I guess it was all or nothing.

Brazooka · 29/05/2022 15:36

‘The viewing public are not idiots’

Depends what they are viewing. The number of people who actually have NO clue about what the jury is actually deliberating or what the trial is actually about.
There are still people who seem to believe she’s on trial for DV and will go to jail 🙄

Both sides entered lists of exhibits and then the opposing sides went through and objected if they wanted to.

What side wanted this televised, I'm presuming Depp's, and who allowed it.

It was Judge Azcarate that decided to have it televised.

In weighing the issue, Azcarate noted that she was getting a lot of media requests, and she had a responsibility to keep the proceedings open to observers. If cameras were not allowed, she worried that reporters would come to the courthouse, potentially creating a hazardous condition there.

I don’t see any good cause not to do it,” Azcarate said.

StormzyinaTCup · 29/05/2022 15:45

This was the view taken by each side in regards to it being televised

“What they’ll do is take anything that’s unfavorable — a look,” Bredehoft said. “They’ll take out of context a statement, and play it over and over and over and over again.”

Depp’s lawyer, Ben Chew, welcomed the cameras. He said that Heard had already “trashed” Depp in the media, and should not be allowed to hide at trial.

“Mr. Depp believes in transparency,” Chew said.

Workwork21 · 29/05/2022 15:53

I think this trial has shown that both the US and UK systems have different pros/cons. I don't believe JD would have had a fair hearing here but I also don't think a live stream trial involving DV I'd ever appropriate either.

It's telling that several stories have changed between trials.

unctuousunicorns1 · 29/05/2022 15:54

"Both sides entered lists of exhibits and then the opposing sides went through and objected if they wanted to."

Okay, thanks for the info. 👍

Rinoachicken · 29/05/2022 15:55

It was the judge wanted it televised. Depps side said fine, Heards side said no but judges decision prevailed.

@Greyhop like others on here, I have o lay watched the direct trial feed - no commentary, not bothered reading any articles or opinion pieces on it as I u sets rand the concept that everyone will have their bias and motivation in how the report it - and I don’t need anyone else’s opinion - I’ve seen and heard it directly and can form my own.

and my own opinion, as a DV survivor and someone with BPD, is that I don’t believe her.

the jury may or may not agree, but that is my considered opinion based on what have have heard and seen presented as evidence in the trial.

Onthedunes · 29/05/2022 16:16

Could I ask about the sexual abuse incident.

Was Johnny drunk when this occured?

The bottle.

She was being leaned backwards over a counter, he held her down, with one arm? and used the bottle in the other?

Did she struggle, push, fight back I don't think I've heard anything about the struggle, how long it lasted, Amber talks of this incident as though she was passive, which I know does happen.

This must have been utterly appalling for her to speak about in a televised court.
Maybe this section could have been not televised.

Sozzler · 29/05/2022 16:30

ENoeuf · 29/05/2022 16:34

onthedunes you can probably find this section of testimony from her evidence when she was on the stand. I don't want to discuss the intricacies of how someone was allegedly raped but someone else might.

@Onthedunes I completely agree that bit should not have been televised. Regardless of whether you think she is being truthful or not, I have a real issue with something like that being televised for the world to see.

I have struggled with whether I think any of it should be televised. On the one hand, I feel there is something grotesque about the whole world watching people recounting horrific accounts of abuse and the circus surrounding it, and if any of this causes me to reflect on my morals and values, it will be that I became a spectator to something so morally questionable.

However, observing the massive media bias from supposed reputable news outlets has made me think that if the trial wasn't televised, I would have formed an inaccurate opinion, based on a false narrative. I really don't think we would have been given the whole story and I think JD may have become a sacrificial lamb on the alter of the #Metoo movement.

IhopeYourCakeIsShit · 29/05/2022 16:54

Many thanks @ENoeuf for the links to UK judgment.

Onthedunes · 29/05/2022 16:56

In such a high profile case, I think there could have been more sensitivity regarding Amber's testimoney about the sexual abuse, maybe she wanted it to be included, to be broadcast, for her experience to be told but I personally think this section could have been more private, if she wanted that.

For just that courtroom, the jury and the judge to make the decisions about it.

It's important and not something I agree should be put out there for the general public to makes memes and TT videos about.

For both sides.
Massive accusations on both sides, life changing, life destroying and also forever out there in the public domain.
