If you were jury in this case, how would you decide?

I think Johnny Depp will win because he had strong, reliable and consistent evidence of "his" case

I hope MN will allow debate about a matter of public interest.

I think the best JD can hope for is to lose his case, but for AH to be awarded a very low sum, suggesting jury were sympathetic to him but couldn't find in his favour.

I don't know what is next for them. AH will double down and spend her life being a victim. JD may still have a career as public certainly seem to favour him.

I hope AH has the right support around her when this is done. Despite my dislike of her and her actions, it's not a stretch to see her doing something stupid off the back of this and I'd hate to see anyone go through that.

They won't award amber anything if he loses. She will only be awarded if she wins hers.

I'd go Johnny every day of the week, but because of the technicalities I think Amber will take it. She's still finished though. As she should be.

Juries are weird you can't tell what they'll do. Many will have made up their minds very early on and see the attorney's presentations only in terms of what they've already decided.

For an interesting comparison of the way the US and the UK treats defamation cases, the actor Lawrence Fox has just been refused a jury trial in a defamation case being brought against him for remarks he made on social media.

If I was on the jury, I'd vote for JD. His evidence has been consistent and reliable, and his witnesses have been very credible. AH's evidence has been poor quality and contradictory. Moreover, AH's anecdotes have been egregiously OTT. Anyone who has ever suffered a bruise, let alone is a real DA/DV survivor, knows that AH's evidence is not credible.

as someone who has been in abusive relationships - she was the abuser. She has shown herself in recordings to not be a victim and his retaliation is that of a victim. I believe the bruises are fake. I also believe she faked and staged photos.

she's abused and beaten others in the past, she's an emotional toxic person. They have BOTH had massive drug problems, not just him.

Is he perfect? No. Abusive relationships can bring the worst in the victim too, because of the emotional turmoil they are going through.

it has set back DV but she shouldn't get away with playing the victim having absolutely obliterated his life. She's destroyed him long after they've been apart and nobody should have that power.

I think AH will win, but it will be a pyrrhic victory as is so often the case with this type of litigation.

This isn't.simply recreational drug use though, JD is a major addict whose daughter is driven to panic attacks by the fear of his antics and and a 5 hour call to VP with VP talking about how his drinking is impacting his relationship with his dd.

He's putting his addictions first and this is what's so sad. It sounds like he has massively damaged the relationship with his dd over it and now lost amber whom I believe he was madly In love wiry with and still is.

Let's say JD actually got deep counseling over his past,and truly kicked his addictions. I feel he would be apologising to Amber in a few years.

This is all About his mum and his addictions. His power and money have made this get onto the world's stages...but this is an illustration of how powerful addiction is and how destructive for those around the addict.

What I didn't like was how much he ingratiated himself with her family either, spending loads of money on them...sounds like grooming to me.

My gut feeling is that JD will win, mainly because it is a Jury trial. He has come across as far more likeable and credible I think. I think with Juries this comes into it where as a Judge only decision is going to be based solely on the law which he may struggle with.

My feeling is that he was probably incredibly difficult to live with at times - due to his drug taking and alcohol abuse but that he is not an abuser.

I think there were probably a lot of very toxic arguments, with things thrown, rooms trashed and quite extreme verbal abuse on both sides.

I believe that she has been violent towards him. The Orient Express black eye seemed credible to me.

Neither will 'win' in terms of their reputation and future careers though in my view. Unless he can be rehabilitated by a friendly director and an amazing role.

JD has won the court of public opinion (as played out on YouTube TikTok and Reels). AH has been widely ridiculed by the public and her career is finished regardless of the outcome of the trial. Perhaps this is what JD wanted as his career was already over. Karma is a xxxxx.

AH‘s current partner has posted JD‘s planned whereabouts for the next two evenings on Twitter and someone has already said they will be there with a banner. Good job he has security as that could go all kinds of wrong…
