I put it in the freezer.

Me too, frozen Maltesers are to die for.

Fry’s chocolate cream from the fridge, the cold dark hard hard chocolate and the lovely goo of the fondant still all lovely and soft, there’s nothing better.

Better from the freezer, ditto Ritter Sport Peppermint.

Never had white manky chocolate from the fridge. Confused

The chocolate from my birthday, February, doesn't have white marks. The only chocolate that has ever had a white 'bloom' on it was out of date by a long way.

I’m with your DH on this one.

Pennox · 23/05/2022 14:34

Me too

KarrotKake · 23/05/2022 14:34

Another vote for Mars bars in the freezer.
Need to try malteeers in the freezer. Intrigued by chocolate digestives in the freezer.
I know what I'm doing tonight while DH is away!!!!

Definitely LTB.

You say he just puts chocolate in the fridge.
But eventually you will pour out your choc dropdrip feed.

Is this a one-off, or is he a serial offender?
How long has he been chocolate-fridging, & are you minimising his behaviour to friends & family?
Does your mum know? Are you able to tell her?
How long does he unreasonably demand that you are parted from the household chocolate supply before he allows you to eat it?
Does he make you eat cold chocolate?
Does he allow the DC to choose their chocolate temperature, or are they also ground down by his constant fridging?
Does he buy the DC easter eggs? Does he then ... VIOILATE those eggs by fridging them?

It's no use defending him any longer OP.
This will escalate.
Admit it - he's already eyeing up the freezer compartments isn't he?

Get your ducks in a row.

It's got to be cold, not warm and sticky! YABU.

Where do you live, a rainforest?!

Chocolate doesn't go warm and sticky at room temperature, unless you've cranked your central heating up to Sahara desert levels.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/05/2022 15:12

I also don't like melting chocolate and always store in the fridge.

Sparklingbrook · 23/05/2022 16:32

I have just had a cuppa and some Tony's Chocolonely from the fridge. It tasted great, was not white and everything was good. Grin

It often happens because chocolate has melted a bit first. Such as in a heatwave when it starts to melt in the time coming off the truck into the supermarket, or on the way home. Still fine to eat.

How many houses stay at room temperature year round? What's that, 20 degrees? It's often warmer than that in my house in summer.
