That's what the drawer in the fridge is for.

DurhamDurham · 21/05/2022 21:44

I keep all my chocolate in the freezer, Aero chocolate is delicious straight out of the freezer. Daim Bar is also much improved when it's been frozen.

PurpleParrotfish · 21/05/2022 21:48

Nice chocolate with a decent amount of cocoa fat in melts at body temperature in your mouth. So keeping it too cold just spoils that. Room temperature all the way.

actiongirl1978 · 21/05/2022 21:50

85% chocolate here, in the fridge. Should crunch when I eat it, unless I dip it in my tea.

OldTinHat · 21/05/2022 21:50

YABVU!!

PuppyMonkey · 21/05/2022 21:57

Fry’s chocolate cream from the fridge, the cold dark hard hard chocolate and the lovely goo of the fondant still all lovely and soft, there’s nothing better.

TokyoTen · 21/05/2022 22:00

Yabu - you need a separate stash he isn't aware of!

CheapFoodShits · 21/05/2022 22:46

Chocolate is for the cupboard. I don't know what kind of heatwave people are having in their homes where chocolate melts to sticky mush if it's left out of the fridge. Room temp all the way. Cold chocolate loses all its flavour.

If you do a weekly online shop then it's not really practical to eat the whole week's chocolate supply as soon as it arrives. Grin

Just you try and stop me!

merryhouse · 21/05/2022 23:17

You know the only reason they introduced Mars ice creams was because so many people were putting Mars Bars in the fridge.

chuggabo · 21/05/2022 23:24

You are all wrong- it doesn't go in the fridge, the freezer or in the cupboard.
It goes in my mouth. Why are you all delaying the pleasure by storing it? Send it here and I will show you....

Eyekyewye · 21/05/2022 23:28

My best chocolate is melted. My husband (of 30 years) has to have It refrigerated so this is a perfect match! His chocolate is safe from me and mine from him.

FloorWipes · 21/05/2022 23:28

My DH does this. Fridge chocolate has much less flavour than room temperature. It’s like refrigerating red wine.

crumpet · 21/05/2022 23:29

Mars ice cream is foul. Mini Mara bars in the freezer are fabulous

Marvellousmadness · 21/05/2022 23:32

He should leave you instead haha ;)

AllLopsided · 21/05/2022 23:32

Firmly believe chocolate should be cold. In winter the larder keeps it at the perfect temperature (a few degrees warmer than the fridge) but in summer it needs to go in the fridge! 30 degrees here today so sumner has officially started

Loveatortie · 21/05/2022 23:46

Chocolate in the fridge, except maltzeesers in our house.

Jaxhog · 21/05/2022 23:50

Depends on the chocolate! Good quality boxed chocs go in the cupboard. Bars (especially Aero) in the fridge.

housemaus · 22/05/2022 01:09

He is correct. Fridge chocolate dipped in a brew is god tier.

HeyBlaby · 22/05/2022 01:29

Mine goes one further and puts it in the freezer, awful.

Merryweather80 · 22/05/2022 04:17

It should be soft, melty and slightly gooey 🥰. Mmmmmm chocolate 🍫

Svara · 22/05/2022 08:18

Maybe it's to do with how sweet you like chocolate? DS will only eat cadbury creme eggs from the freezer as they make him feel sick otherwise. He puts other milk chocolate in there too but it's the creme eggs he can not eat any other way.

KangarooKenny · 22/05/2022 08:21

I can’t eat it unless it’s from the fridge.

HopingForMyRainbowBaby · 22/05/2022 18:22

OH has just informed me he keeps his chocolate in the fridge. The heathen

Maybebabyno2 · 22/05/2022 19:00

Frozen milky bar dipped in coffee and then sucked is the absolute best. It still has the snap in the middle but the outside is all melty.
