All chocolate goes in the fridge here. It's nicer cold and tastes just fine. Chocolate digestives live in the freezer.

ScarlettSunset · 21/05/2022 20:44

Chocolate should most definitely be kept in the fridge.
Unless it's the chocolate on a Jaffa cake. Putting those in the fridge just ruins them....

orwellwasright · 21/05/2022 20:45

What a fucking wrong 'un. Set fire to him. Make sure he's holding the chocolate so that it warms up.

Davros · 21/05/2022 20:51

Singleandproud · 21/05/2022 20:20

I put it in the freezer.

Me too

WarmFunKindStrong · 21/05/2022 20:53

@orwellwasright I think that you are right...

I am seriously shocked that so many posters think that chocolate that is fridge cold is right 😱

Team DH!

WarmFunKindStrong · 21/05/2022 20:57

There is a reason why the chocolate is not refrigerated in the shop. Cold chocolate is less flavoursome than room temperatured chocolate. Real chocolate lovers would not put their chocolate in the fridge, so OP you are right.

I'm sure if I bought very nice chocolate this would be true.

I buy Lindt 78% dark chocolate and only like it very cold from the fridge.

(I also concur with the PP who said chocolate buttons from the fridge are fab. My guilty pleasure too)

JayAlfredPrufrock · 21/05/2022 20:58

Fridge fridge fridge.

Even the freezer for snickers.

WarmFunKindStrong · 21/05/2022 20:58

You'll mad. My DP is a chocolate chilling MONSTER!

Most chocolate kept in the fridge, unless truffles, boxes of chocolate or the dark stuff used for cooking. Kit-Kats kept in the freezer for maximum ‘snap’ :)

Sparklingbrook · 21/05/2022 21:01

Bleurgh at people thinking half melted/soft chocolate is the right way to eat it.

BackOnTheBandWagon · 21/05/2022 21:01

Wtf. So many people are actually deviants. Room temperature chocolate all the way, as nature intended

lazarusb · 21/05/2022 21:01

I'm with you. We should form a support group. Warm, sticky chocolate is delicious.

PomegranateSeed · 21/05/2022 21:02

You are wrong. Tell your DH to LTB!

WarmFunKindStrong · 21/05/2022 21:04

@BackOnTheBandWagon @lazarusb at last, I was beginning to wonder what on earth was going on🙄

Fridge chocolate goes white and manky! Honestly, there are aberrants on this thread. Disgusting deviants.

Never had white manky chocolate from the fridge. Confused

Oysterbabe · 21/05/2022 21:07

This is not lighthearted. Get the kids in the car and leave.

orwellwasright · 21/05/2022 21:07

Also why do people say non fridge chocolate is sticky? You're not supposed to keep it in your pants FFS.

Mine is perfectly solid and delicious stored in the cupboard.

Ladywiddio · 21/05/2022 21:08

Mine is kept in the freezer.

Oysterbabe · 21/05/2022 21:08

My DH does this too. It doesn't matter if it tastes of nothing when you smash it down like a labrador I guess.

Yebs · 21/05/2022 21:08

Most chocolate belongs in the fridge.
Putting Malteasers in the fridge is a crime, however.

Staynow · 21/05/2022 21:08

Google it people - chocolate should not be kept in the fridge. I have the same issue as you OP, DH is a chocolate philistine and keeps his in the fridge.

Oh and there is nothing better in the world than a melty, creamy icecream snickers that has been left in the sun for 5 or so minutes.
