AIBU to neither know nor care about the details of Rooney v Vardy?

One of them says the other one leaked some stories about her on Twitter and now the second one is suing the first one. Or something like that.

Something tells me that Ms.Vardy has not made a close study of Wilde v. Queensberry, or she would have realised that people an awful lot cleverer than her can come unstuck in such cases.

I'm completely perplexed how Colleen lets Wayne get away with his cheating time and time again, but has the energy to chase after someone she thinks has done her wrong by selling a story. She's been on the front pages time and time again thanks to Wayne, and to be honest looks a bit of a door mat who puts up with it for status and lifestyle.

100% with you here. I couldn't give a shit about either of them. I find them both a pathetic waste of time, and the whole debacle fiercely petty and childish. They're like a couple of tweens arguing in year 6 at school, not 2 grown women in their late 30s/early 40s, (who have children.) All this 'she said this,' 'she said that' nonsense is utterly pathetic.

It seems they say anything for publicity. Why do they crave it? They have no skills but their egos must be massive. Their husbands do have skills and that’s fair enough. Thank God we don’t hear from Mrs Kane or Mrs Salah. They have more sense. So why don’t these two?

Bit easier to friend-dump some random acquaintance who’s banging your husband’s work colleague than it is to divorce your husband and father of your children. So most people set the bar a bit higher.

If my husband did something that upset me, I’d sit down with him, talk about how that had made me feel, and why he had done it. If a friend of a friend appeared to be trying to fuck me over, I would probably just cut them out.

I must admit the detail that had somehow escaped me until this week is that CR’s main complaint is that RV leaked/sold private stories CR had shared on Instagram. That’s when it really tickled me. Don’t share private information on SM maybe? Would’ve been cheaper.

I don't think it was particularly private information, it's that this was Colleens 'private account' aka one that only friends and family can follow her on, not the whole world. So she would share more personal stories on there of the kids etc and obviously trusted RV and allowed her to follow her.

That cracked me up! I also liked Vardy's line about arguing with a pigeon - you can prove it wrong, but it'll still shit in your hair, something along those lines.

And Rooney doesn't have any choice about getting involved, Vardy issued the proceedings so Rooney has to appear.

I think the suggestion is that Vardy has previous for sharing private info with the press for money.

I know it is really none of our business but this type of frothy news takes us away from the main news content of war, pandemic, inflation and government incompetence for a short time - bit like recharging the batteries.

Vardy claimed she was a model of discretion and never said anything private about anyone so they pointed to an interview were she publicly discussed PA’s penis size, to suggest that might not be true.

I expect it's a combination of things, including, as a PP noted, that staying with him at least stops him going off and starting multiple new families whilst going even further off the rails and completely ditching their kids. I suspect she also genuinely loves him and hopes he will one day grow up and sort himself out. He has also been in her life, and known her family, for a very long time and I don't think you can underestimate the significance of that given the circumstances.

Agree, I cannot bear to watch the depp heard trial. It's unbearable. I do believe she ranted at him abusively but I also think he was quite casually horrible to her, and sexist. She has a serious abandonment wound and needed him to stick around and submit to being ranted at for hours until she ran out of steam. my x did that to me too. But yet, I'm still triggered by the force behind the hatred of her
i was in an abusive relationship for years and at times, if somebody told a joke, i was so disconnected from myself if i had a self that instead of laughing or feeling unamused, i'd actually think ''would 9to5 find that funny?'' like i was trying to get the part right.

And I feel watching bits of the JD-AH trial that although word by word, she's performing, there could be some truth in there somewhere, ie, he was horrible to her.

Can't watch now, keep having to tell my dd to turn it off!

The new detail this week was that CR had alluded to her temporary split from WR, on there, which is more than I would do on SM, and I don’t have a pack of tabloids after the details.

Can I ask a question here and I'm not sure if I'm being stupid(probably) how do you set your Instagram so only one person can view it? Or was RV the only one to view the stories for some reason??

@Bloomi Coleen explained in the trial; you open up the story setting then go into controls and “hide story from” and laboriously tick everyone except Rebekah Vardy.
