The lidl freeway max is 6 2l bottles for 2 quid and it's very good. We switched ages and ages ago

My window cleaner, it would appear that a bucket of water has gone up by 20%

I know fuel prices have gone up, but he stays very local so not exactly doing the miles. 🙄

Hey that's unfair

His national insurance has gone ip. Fuel for his vehicle. His energy bills
Presumably he uses chemicals? Materials? Not just water

"A chicken for £3-£5 should not be a thing. They're just chicken shaped misery and taste nothing like chicken at all."

It's a sad thing. Short, sad lives they lead.

I'm pretty sure a free range chicken is slaughtered at around 8 weeks and organic is 12.

Free range chicken is one of the biggest cons going

dottiedodah · 07/05/2022 08:05

You name it ,it's gone up! Coffee gold blend 8quid ffs! Every week something has increased. Unsustainable I think

Oblomov22 · 07/05/2022 08:08

When you see it all, listed, it's frightening. My salary hasn't gone up.

BaaMoon · 07/05/2022 08:15

Eggs

tilder · 07/05/2022 08:19

Am not surprised eggs and chicken are more expensive. I bought a sack of layers pellets. Cost £10.75, last sack was £8.20. Plus post for fencing have gone up.

ZaZathecat · 07/05/2022 08:19

Lurpak butter, £4 for a 500g tub recently

andi62 · 07/05/2022 08:36

Pies

Pies

Which pies? Pukka pies are the same round here.

Bigboysmademedoit · 07/05/2022 08:39

Sausage supper for the kids last night - £7.50!!! That’ll be the last one for a while. Fish suppers were £10 and kiddie meals £6! Shocking.

Floydthebarber · 07/05/2022 08:42

Whole chickens. I usually buy a free range one about 1.4kg and it cost around £7-8. Suddenly went up to over £10. I know I could buy a cheaper one but I like the slightly higher welfare and the cheaper chickens seem to release so much water when cooked and shrink.

Biscuits too, when they are actually in stock.

butterpuffed · 07/05/2022 08:42

I can't think of anything that hasn't either gone up, or packeted products reduced in weight .

Libertybear80 · 07/05/2022 08:47

It used to be 3 for £5 offers in M&S now it's 3 for £7! What hasn't gone up?

Roominmyhouse · 07/05/2022 08:49

Lurleene · 06/05/2022 21:41

Hotels, even the usual chains. I go on lots of cheap and cheerful short trips and rarely spend more than 60 quid a night fir a perfectly fine room. I'm looking to go away next month and even a blimmin Travelodge is 350 for the weekend 😮

Yes definitely noticed this! Was looking for cheap ish hotels for a few things and normally a few months in advance you can get a travelodge or premier inn for a reasonable price but they are so expensive now!

Maybe we need a list of things that haven't!

NCforpictures · 07/05/2022 08:53

Everything, but Tesco Clementine juice, used to be £1.10 or two for £2 then went up to £1.20 same deal, then they dropped the multi deal, it's now £1.35.

moIasses · 07/05/2022 08:58

Layer pellets haven't gone up that I've noticed here. Chick crumb has but that was always slightly more expensive than the the pellets.

User354354 · 07/05/2022 09:00

I genuinely cannot think of one item that hasn't gone up.

PurassicJark · 07/05/2022 09:05

Might be easier to ask what hasn't gone up in price.

ChickenGotLegs · 07/05/2022 09:12

Just about everything in Poundland 😆

CrazyCatLover · 07/05/2022 09:16

Asda used to do 3 for £10 on meats. Now 2 for £7!

SwanBuster · 07/05/2022 09:23

I'd be impressed rather than annoyed at the window cleaner knocking up their prices. That's a person who's immediately able to be agile in pricing their value according to the economic circumstances in place. The benefit of being self employed.

Yes, us PAYE mugs are getting f**ked. But we didn't take the same risks of setting up a business as they did.

But we do need to go to our employees and demand cost of living raises that reflect real inflation, despite what the idiot from the Bank of England said. Because you can be damn sure executive salaries will track it.

SwanBuster · 07/05/2022 09:24

Should have said employers, not employees

Onlyforcake · 07/05/2022 09:27

I knew there would be someone complaining about someone's service that they pay for. A care client had a good rant to me about the increased cost of me. Clearly she doesn't think I'm worth it. So I shall pass her along to a different agency.
