“Don’t put stuff in my bin”

Soubriquet · 05/05/2022 20:03

I know I’m going to be told I’m unreasonable but seriously, what is the issue with people putting stuff in your outdoor bin as they walk by?

I’m not talking about someone putting their entire garbage in your bin, but say a crisp packet or a poo bag.

Why is it such a problem? Your bin is not going to the special golden place. It goes to the same place as everything else.

Unclench. It’s a bin

Exactly, DD has three bins, she lives at the edge of a woodland trail. Every single day some lazy CF dumps a shitty bag of poo in her gardening waste bin, so every single day she has to stick her head in the garden waste bin, retrieve in and put it in her bin.

no biggy eh OP? As long as you don’t have to take your faeces home then it’s fine.

honestly, you are the kind of people that make me want to follow and empty my cat litter tray in your garden.

purpledagger · 05/05/2022 20:20

We have recycling bins for different types of waste and people walking by, will just put their waste in whatever bin they can easily reach, even it is the wrong bin.

I also don't want someone else's dog poop smelling up my bin. I know bins smell anyway, but we have fortnightly collections

seven201 · 05/05/2022 20:20

We can't have loose stuff in our bins, we're not really meant to have bins, but most people have a bin and the refuse collectors pull out the bin bags. So yes, I would be pissed off is someone put something in my bin. I wouldn't care at all if I lived somewhere where bins are tipped into the truck.

nocoolnamesleft · 05/05/2022 20:20

If I wanted dog shit in my bin, I'd have a dog.

LightningAndRainbows · 05/05/2022 20:21

@Cervinia That's awful. Has she tried putting a sign on the gardening waste bin?

ComDummings · 05/05/2022 20:23

i don’t want anyone putting anything in my bin. The council won’t take the rubbish if there is anything loose in the bin or any recycling is mixed up or any non recycling is in recycling bin. Plus it’s my property. Use a public bin or take your rubbish home.

LubaLuca · 05/05/2022 20:23

A crisp packet wouldn't bother me at all, but dog shit would have me waving my fist at the perpetrator. You do not put shit in someone's wheelie bin.

NoCapesDarling · 05/05/2022 20:25

Our bins won’t be taken if there’s dog poo bags on top.

Also won’t take anything not in the tiiiiny bin.

Meant we then had a full bin plus dog shit and no way of getting rid of any of it for two weeks as we couldnt drive. Then a fucking nightmare trying to get four weeks worth of rubbish into the tiny bin.

You try unclenching after that.

NeedAHoliday2021 · 05/05/2022 20:25

We’re a family of 5 and perfectly capable of filling our bin without additional bits (3 weekly collections).

5foot5 · 05/05/2022 20:26

Just take your rubbish home with you. Why do you find that so hard to do?

oioimatey · 05/05/2022 20:28

Get your shit out of my bin.

Wynturphelle · 05/05/2022 20:31

Not poo bags. They stink / leak / tear - how could you expect someone else to clear this up from the bottom of their bin? Way too selfish! I have dogs and bag their poo then take it to the dedicated public poo bins (that have liners) rather than put in my own black bin.

Crisps packets etc don't cause this kind of mess.

DashboardConfessional · 05/05/2022 20:32

Crisp packet, fine. But my wheelie bin lives in the garden. If someone throws dog poo in my bin on emptying day before I bring it in, that's 2 weeks of dog poo stink in the garden every time I open it.

Motnight · 05/05/2022 20:34

Take your rubbish home and unclench there.

Who said I did it?!

I don’t need to. There are four public bins on my walk. I just don’t get the attitudes towards it.

gothereagain · 05/05/2022 20:35

I don't have a problem with it either.

Changingmynameyetagain · 05/05/2022 20:37

My bins are only emptied every 3 weeks, it would piss me right off if someone stuck smelly dog shit in my bin, especially in the summer when it’s hot.
Luckily we live in a culdesac and the only dog walkers are the neighbours so they use their own bins.
My mum lives near a popular dog walking area and she had to move her bins to somewhere else to stop people from doing that as they walked past.

StoneofDestiny · 05/05/2022 20:38

Why do you have a problem in taking your own rubbish and dog shit home to put in your own bin?

CruCru · 05/05/2022 20:39

Poo bags are a bit of a problem. The bags themselves degrade when they are wet so I end up picking up a load of shit from the bottom of my bin. Our binmen will only take "dirty" rubbish if it is in black bin liners or kitchen bin bags - so if someone shoves dog poo bags in my bin there's a risk that the bin men won't collect my rubbish altogether.

grapewines · 05/05/2022 20:40

Cervinia · 05/05/2022 20:12

Are you joking? Would you want someone to come and shit in your bin? You are taking the piss, take your dog shit home. It stinks, if it isn’t an issue to you, why can’t it go in your bin, you epitomise the CF term.

This. Disgusting and cheeky af. Take the shit to your bin.

foxlover47 · 05/05/2022 20:41

Must say , I've never even had the thought of putting my dog poo bag or empty packet of whatever in someone's bin as I pass by !!

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 05/05/2022 20:46

I have a horrid neighbour who goes fishing and throws maggots in people's bins. Anyone's except his own, that is.

girlmom21 · 05/05/2022 20:48

Generally I don't mind as long as there's already some rubbish in the bin and people use the correct bin.

Euridicefortuna · 05/05/2022 20:48

A dead rat was put in our wheelie bin, council refused to take it.Hate rats ,I have a huge rat phobia so had to pay council £40 for a new bin.

LondonQueen · 05/05/2022 20:50

I'd much rather you put it in my bin than throw it on the ground like most people!
