To ask you what time you go to bed?

I'm constantly knackered and promise myself to go to bed early and wake up at a decent time so that I can fit in breakfast for myself and not rush around but never actually manage. By the time I lie down after dinner/chores it's 9pm and I feel like I "need to enjoy my adult time" and either binge watch or read/text/faff about. I'm not particularly happy with my routine. What's yours? DH says it's normal not to go to bed before 11pm but I think we are the exception rather than the rule...

Between 12 and 1am. Alarm set for 6

Same.

It's not enough sleep for me and I feel permanently shattered, but I can't sleep longer - I'm never tired before midnight, even with all the melatonin and sleep hygiene in the world!

11 on a week night. I have teen DC so constantly busy and don't get to relax/sit down until after 10.

SmellyWellyWoo · 03/05/2022 22:48

I feel constantly tired. I don't sleep well. Doesn't seem to matter when I go to bed or get up, still struggle to sleep & still always tired. Physical causes ruled out by doctor.

Gizacluethen · 03/05/2022 22:54

We go up about 9.30 always have. We probably get to bed later now because of getting DS ready. Then we play a game together on our phones.

SaggyBlinders · 03/05/2022 23:00

My bedtimes vary, sometimes I go to bed very early, say 8pm, if I feel like I need an early night. I went to sleep at about 8.30pm last night, and will probably go to bed in about half an hour. I'm up between 5.30am and 6.30am most mornings.

Do you think you lack sleep? I used to feel knackered all the time, but then started having a loose bedtime (before midnight) taking a multivitamin and high strength vitamin D, drinking more water, being more organised in general and planning a morning routine. Having a morning routine, written down like you would for a child 🤣 has been a game changer for me. It isn't the same every single morning, but writing it down helps me to focus more. Tomorrow I'm getting up at 6am to go for a walk before leaving for work.

Me: midnight.
DH: by 10pm, ideally before 9pm

TenoringBehind · 03/05/2022 23:23

If I’ve not been out in the evenings probably around 11pm. If I’ve been out (like this evening) I need time to unwind and switch off, so closer to midnight. Up 6-6:30. I don’t need much sleep.

CoffeeLover90 · 04/05/2022 00:25

Well.... After reading a few of these I don't feel so bad about my sleep pattern now! I used to got to bed around 10, watch TV until 11-12 and wake at 6. Sometimes I'd fall asleep earlier if I was tired. Now I finish work anytime between 11pm and 2am. Usually I finish at 12.30. I still wake at 6am regardless, because I'm used to it and I get to drink a coffee before DS wakes at 7/7.30. On my 3 nights off a week I go to bed about 9, fall asleep before 12 to catch up on sleep 😴
