Just thought I would start a follow on thread for anyone interested in the trial. I have kept it in AIBU so that it is easier for previous posters from Part 1 to find.
We are halfway through and have heard JD's testimony so next week we will hear from AH.

This is them coming back from Australia - you can see his hand is wrapped where his finger is injured. She has just testified that during that trip she was repeatedly punched in the face, had her head slammed against a wall, was sexually assaulted using a bottle causing her serious injuries and bleeding…yet not a mark on her?

That is flat-out untrue.
Sorting through batshit copypasta off TikTok or Youtube or Twitter is very tiresome and time consuming.

Returning to Australia a month after injury....

By which I mean Johnny's injury.

Boulshired · 05/05/2022 22:53

Amber messed up on the PTSD test, her lawyers would have advised her to stick to her previous testimony. Adding new accounts with little evidence even when they are true was always going to be difficult. I can understand why she never disclosed earlier as there are things I will take to the grave. But once the expert witness placed a large part of her report on the sexual violence they had to go with it. The lawyers must have had their heads in their hands when they knew. She didn’t need this to win but now it could cost her.

Aspiringmatriarch · 05/05/2022 23:00

I'm a bit behind with the testimony, she's talking about what happened in Australia. I do believe her. Poor woman.

I'm not going to post anymore on this thread, it just feels distasteful to me at this point.

This really should not be broadcast to the public. The only positive is that maybe it will backfire on Johnny. I can only hope. I actually think he's evil.

Newrunner29 · 05/05/2022 23:04

She poses for a crying photo

Absolutely incredible 😬🙄🤯

Oh and he's been laughing at several points during this testimony. Utter scumbag.

No I actually ironiclly found his voice annoying and found he was very bias against her (he's obviously been following this for years) and I wanted to watch lawyers who r more balanced

Newrunner29 · 05/05/2022 23:07

Found on twitter but wanted a video to watch myself

QuotetheLaw · 05/05/2022 23:08

@Aspiringmatriarch if it genuinely did not happen how she is saying though (and only him and her really know) then he probably has to laugh to keep sane. It's like the saying "if I don't laugh I'll cry".

I personally don't believe a word she says. I don't feel there is anything genuine about her and things she says does not match up with reality or evidence.

I know u won't acknowledge this as ur obviously very set on ur opinion but I have adhd and I laugh at completely inappropriate times when in a nervous or uncomfortable moment, it used to get me in quite bad trouble at school, and I've read he also has adhd , it also explains the doddling keeping his hands busy

Boulshired · 05/05/2022 23:25

To those who believe her, do you believe her enough that you would convict him in a criminal law case, especially in regards to sexual abuse. Is there any evidence, have those who witnessed her after all lying. The domestic violence they both seemed as bad as each other but this has now gone to another level.

Really? Listen to this

AH recorded it herself. No one mentions all these injuries she apparently sustained in Australia.

She's not a credible witness. At all.

knowinglesseveryday · 05/05/2022 23:35

They are both awful and need to get a grip.

mummyrocks1 · 05/05/2022 23:39

Why are there no tears when she is crying?

This is unbelievable. Either she is telling unbelievable lies or he has done some unbelievable stuff. Can't quite believe what I am hearing. If she is making it up she is one seriously damaged person.

ENoeuf · 05/05/2022 23:40

Ive found somewhere to watch it and its excruciating. Loads of romantic novel stuff with lots of horrible stuff. Can’t understand why we are getting the whole history of their relationship in such detail. I also am feeling a bit odd about hearsay because it effectively gives one part of a conversation only. Although i get that you can’t speak for someone else.

ENoeuf · 05/05/2022 23:41

The photos of him are getting worse, i thought that originally he just looked tired or asleep but the one of him lying on the floor is bad.

I don't get why the pictures were taken, but agree they don't look good.

I married a squaddie, the man has been passed out drunk in the back garden, the bathtub, the neighbours garden, the stairs, sat at the kitchen table but to name a few. I never took a picture of him. Just left him to it 🤷🏻‍♀️

MargeSimpson79 · 05/05/2022 23:59

she took a lot of photos but doesn’t seem to have any of her injuries? Could these come later? Otherwise it’s a bit strange.

I am curious why photos of johnny passed out/ asleep is looking bad? And if she is taking his photo regularly why if she is being beaten so much why isn't she taking photos of herself , surely that would make more sense? And why is the photos of her face at different times is she wearing the same white t shirt?

Newrunner29 · 06/05/2022 00:02

Make more sense and be safer , as she can take them away from him and he would have no idea.

Looking at the photos they start and i was a bit ‘meh could be sleeping’, and now we’ve reached lying fully clothed passed out on the floor with his head on some table. If you don’t agree that’s worrying that’s fine, we all have different behavioural expectations.

He clearly has issues with drink and drugs and this would explain that but how is that showing amber being abused? If he was abusing u so Incredibly brutally as she is claiming why take a photo of him why not urself to really show what he did to her? Him being involved in drink and drugs isn't up for debate, also noticed Incredible downplaying of Amber's use of drugs and alcohol, its in the nurses notes she I think it even says addictions to both.

Newrunner29 · 06/05/2022 00:16

So she has same issues but somehow his is worrying and hers isn't? But like I said it isn't a question over that it's very clearly and obvious to everyone , his violent abuse has massive question mark over it why is she not showing that? I mean there is obvious answer

Laaaaslalala · 06/05/2022 00:54

Midlifemusings · 05/05/2022 08:15

Your reaction of never forgiving your parents based on their action of choosing to support your abuser post end of the relationship and still see him as family makes sense. Amber talks very positively about her mother and just named her baby after her.

I've never forgiven them for that but I still have a good relationship with my mother and father and I still love them. If I'd had a daughter her middle name would have been my mum's. I don't know if it went to a public forum whether I would display all of those issues for the world to see - it would probably break my mother. Life is never that black and white.
