To wonder what happened overnight?

The formatting has all changed, making it really hard to read. Is it just me?

I wonder if among all this they've made a Zombie warning come up on threads older than 3/4 months?

The best thing about MNing on a bloody great laptop screen was being able to see so much at once. Now it's all in a narrow ribbon as if on a phone screen. Acres of white either side.

I never MN on my phone. When i have to (stuck in hospital or something) i've always hated it. Now it's like it all the time :(

The quote thing is good. The italics is easier. The bold is easier.

I've got ad blockers on so i wonder if ad's will ever start appearing to fill all this white?

And - so far it's logged me out every time i leave.

Yeah i said that earlier. I didn't realise how often i checked that until it's not here any more.

I've still got a window open from last night before the change and you can see the big difference in how much text i can see on my screen between then and now:

How are people quoting ? The 'quote' button seems to have disappeared from my screen (laptop if that makes a difference)

In Threads I am On - why has it started taking me to the start of a thread . What is the point of that? I want to be able to start reading from the last post I read, as I could up until midnight last night. Why would you take that away ?

You have to click on the three dots to the right of Bookmark - quote should be in there as an option (at least, it is on my iPhone).

I hope whoever came up with this awfulness isn’t getting paid until they’ve improved it 100%

Anyone found out how you can start reading a thread in 'Threads I'm on' from where you last rea up to ?

No.

I don't use Threads I'm On, but did use to use the refresh button (laptop) when i got to the end of a thread and wanted to see what had been posted since i started reading. It used to take me back to the last time i posted, if i had posted, or if not just hold me still and load up the newest batch of posts.

Now refresh takes me back to the top of the bloomin' thread! I have to scroll down until i recognise where i was and if the threads hundreds of posts long frankly life is too short for that :(

what happened to the Last Day and the 100 per page options ? Now only on Premium maybe

@NamelessGhoul and no more can you click on the username of the last person who posted on a thread when using the watchlist to take you back near to where you last posted.

Go into Settings and you can choose how many comments per page there. I've got mine set to "All"

I just went into Settings and love that you can now hide topics so easily - so for all the faults of the update, you have done well in that area at least!

I do understand that, as humans we don't tend to like change and any change takes a while for people to get used to it, but are you going to respond to some of this really valid questions @MNHQ ?

Glad I've seen this thread. Thought there was something "wrong" with the site this morning. First had to log in which I never have to do and of course couldn't remember my password! After sorting that I get this strange childlike set up that takes twice as long to scroll through, OPs thread not in green anymore and I guess I'm about to find out if my own posts are still purple. My first reaction is I hate it but if I want to continue to use MN I guess I'll have to get used to it.🙁

I don’t know - I think people are generally quite adaptable and welcome good change. This is just so awful that it’s not surprising that the majority of us are feeling pretty negative about it.

I absolutely agree with you that there are far too many unanswered questions and concerns

I don't understand websites fiddling with their sites and making them worse for the users which is what MN has done.

Same with Radio Times tv listing, several changes, every one designed to make it more clunky and unusable.

Do the people who make these these changes actually use the websites? I'm guessing not.

Not you, they are mostly old threads (some from 2018!) that had few posts. Not updating to include new threads. Really annoying.

Im also having to log in continuously? Was so handy previously flitting in and out of the site
