Would you date someone with missing teeth?

Went on a date with a really nice guy. Ticked boxes and was attracted to him. However he had teeth missing. His top front tooth and few teeth towards the front. Very noticeable, but the cresting his teeth were white a like after. His pictures online had no pictures showing his teeth.

I told him a story of a tooth abscess during lockdown 1 when everything was closed. Told him that I had to get massive repair when everything opened. Thought this might provoke a conversation on his teeth. Sort of I had an accident they are getting fixed. But nothing.

My teeth are not the best and I do have a back tooth missing due to injury with a cherry pip and failed root canal.

Wouid you continue to date. It’s really noticeable

I lost a few teeth over 10 years and then a couple during lockdown as couldn't get them fixed. I paid almost £20k to have implants last year. I wore a temporary denture for a while and it was very uncomfortable. Couldn't talk properly or eat with it. I imagine the proper dentures are better but still uncomfortable.

The problem with gaps is that it has a domino effect. When a tooth is missing, it causes the other teeth to shift which then changes your bite which then causes cracks. So even if your missing teeth are at the back (like mine) fill the gaps or you will probably lose some more.

Feeling like a complete mug as my single tooth implant cost £4k this year - where is everyone going to get theirs done for £2k?

I mine was done over a course of about 8 appointments/procedures in total over 6 months and so I couldn't have travelled too far to get it done.

It's a very nice tooth though - I'm just hoping it will see me through!

Haha lot’s of the super wealthy on this thread as always! 🙄 It’s around £2500 PER TOOTH to be replaced, my DH broke the bottom half of his tooth off on holiday last year and we haven’t been able to justify the money to fix it yet, it’s a front one two to the left from the middle it’s not great aesthetically but it doesn’t cause him any trouble or pain so it’s fairly low on the priority list for spending a couple of grand on at the moment to be honest!
You won't need an implant for that, but a crown in the worst case, and bonding in the best case.

Bonding is a few hundred, a crown is more expensive but a lot cheaper than an implant.

Even when I didn't have money I got low interest loan to pay for a crown.

A low interest loan is still out of reach for many, many people.

Yes understand. I would be put off dating someone unable to get a low interest loan, too.
I've worked hard at my career and would want someone similar to me financially.

Mine are 2.5k each. With a specialist. In the UK.

So narrow minded. Sorry but working hard doesn’t guarantee someone a good career or good finances. I used to have a good career in luxury brands as a senior marketing manager and then I became disabled. Now I manage on PIP and benefits. It’s luck. And if you are excluding dating people on the basis of having bad luck that says a lot about you.

Oh you're not meant to want someone similar to you financially or even dentally, you're meant to be so grateful for any man showing the slightest bit of attention towards you that you accept it gratefully without questioning the quality Grin

Ignoring the fact that men criticise the appearance of women all the time of course. And more.
