Not really an AIBU and I know I need to leave. But don’t want to face up to it.
I have been feeling dreadful lately - honestly I think I am burnt out with the amount I have been doing. I am not getting much sleep with 7mo, have another dd and we have just moved house. So been run ragged and doing way more than I should. I have been feeling awfully depressed and sometimes when I feel like this I just don’t stop to block it out.
Anyway..about an hour ago I was feeding 8mo when I started shaking uncontrollably. My body is in awful pain and all I can describe it as is really bad muscle spasms. I’ve never had this before and was really frightened so I text OH to come upstairs. He laid with me for 45 mins with me still shaking until I asked him to run a bath for me.
Been sat in here an hour now with it scolding hot to try and ease the pain. I don’t have any energy to get out and feel like I could just sleep. This sounds very dramatic but genuinely how I feel.
Anyway about 20 minutes ago I heard him snoring. He doesn’t give a shit does he? This comes after crisis talks about our relationship and me feeling like he doesn’t care as well.

You need to get medical help now and worry about relationship later. Nothing else matters in this moment other than seeing someone about your symptoms.

nocoolnamesleft · 10/04/2022 00:59

You need medical help. Absolutely agree it sounds like rigors, and those don't happen for no reason. It could be sepsis.

WeirdlyKind · 10/04/2022 01:00

Please just dial 999 and get help. You don't even have to speak. Just dial the number. Or get your OH to ring for you.

Justyouwaitandseeagain · 10/04/2022 01:02

What is your temperature OP? Please don't talk about wanting to drift away. Sometimes a sense of impending doom or worry can be a serious sign that something is wrong medically.

WeirdlyKind · 10/04/2022 01:15

Are you there @inacuppa? Really worried about you!

Tilltheend99 · 10/04/2022 01:28

Can MN team do anything if a poster seems to be in trouble? Op I agree with posters urging you to get medical help. It also sounds as if you’re experiencing a mental health crisis. Think of your baby before you do anything rash. I hope you are able to get help and will update at some point.

WeirdlyKind · 10/04/2022 01:36

I've posted in the night watch so hopefully they can do something!

If it's sepsis, the feeling of doom comes from the illness and isn't anything to do with MH.

CrowUpNorth · 10/04/2022 01:40

I was thinking this. Sepsis is proper scary and so often missed!

Quincythequince · 10/04/2022 01:42

OP, hope you’re stabilising.
Call 999 with symptoms like those.
Other issues aside, his actions tonight don’t indicate that he doesn’t give a shit!
You are unwell and exhausted and he is probably tired too (it’s late tbf).

Keep us posted if you can, I really hope you’re not too unwell.

discodannie · 10/04/2022 01:45

You need to be seen with rigours, please call 111 even if they've stopped, it still needs checking out, I've had them twice, once with sepsis and another with another life threatening condition, both times the rigours stopped before restarting later Thanks

Tilltheend99 · 10/04/2022 01:46

@WeirdlyKind thank you

WeirdlyKind · 10/04/2022 01:50

No problem! I should be asleep but I'm really worried!

LikeAStar1994 · 10/04/2022 02:13

I have bookmarked this thread onto my phone's home screen because I really want to find out whether the OP is OK, I usually stay up notoriously late so will be checking regularly.

I am hoping and praying you are OK, OP Flowers

WeirdlyKind · 10/04/2022 02:15

I really need to go to sleep but it'll be the first thing I'll check in the morning.

MN are usable to help unfortunately ☹️

Lifesonebigparty · 10/04/2022 02:21

@inacuppa do you have PND? Are you being treated for your depression? I know how hard it is when you're so tired, struggling and having to deal with low moods as well.

Please see a doctor next week. Sleep well. B

Cagedbirdsinging · 10/04/2022 02:34

Hope you feel better in the morning , OP and that you find out what the problem is .
Flowers

HappyDays40 · 10/04/2022 03:03

I don't think there is anything wrong with a tired person sleeping at that time, he probably thought you were relaxing in a warm bath. You sound really ill though OP. Get-up and get medical attention. Flowers

Newhousesad · 10/04/2022 03:03

I hope you have rang for advice OP and are feeling better Flowers

LagunaBubbles · 10/04/2022 03:11

Why on earth havent you got medical help? I hope you have now.

EthelsAuntie · 10/04/2022 03:28

I'm currently in hospital, recovering from sepsis amongst other things. I really hope the poster has called 111. She really doesn't sound well.

Pyri · 10/04/2022 03:30

Checking in to see if you’re ok op, another vote for medical help asap!

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 10/04/2022 03:31

If you can type on MN you can seek medical help. And you should. Please call get out of the bath and call 111.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 10/04/2022 03:41

My DH had sepsis and after the rigours stopped he appeared a bit better but this was when his body was starting to shut down. You need medical attention immediately, not in the morning, now. Wake up your H or call an ambulance. The feeling of impending doom can be linked and not MH related. Tell them you're concerned about sepsis, don't leave it to chance.

Fadeout83 · 10/04/2022 04:01

Hope you’re ok OP

TyrannosaurusRegina · 10/04/2022 04:07

Are you OK OP? Please let us know. I hope you've got medical attention- if not, please do so ASAP.
