Ads making mumsnet almost unusable?

Now there is a giant ad on mobile view covering the top half of the page!
One was for animal rights in Australia, the others seem to be Ross from friends with a variety of different women.You can't even click them off.
Incredibly annoying. Do MN not worry it'll stop people using the site?

I am getting cows too ? How do you install an addblocker?

Yes, can't use on mobile devices any more, it's too annoying. Use MN much less because of this.

Agree mobile is unusable due to how invasive the adverts are. Alot of websites are like this nowadays so I only use my phone for things like snapchat or whatsapp.
I use my computer for visitng websites and I have ad blocking on my browser, worth their weight in gold as now I can actually navigate websites properly.

For anyone wondering I use Google Chrome browser with two plugins which are called ublock origin and poper blocker.

I used to get these huge ads on my iPad, but I don’t any more.

No issue on my Google phone either.

Due to mobility issues I can only use my tablet in landscape mode at the moment. I literally can't see the text box at all and am having to struggle to type this out.. its not user friendly at all. Don't tell me to just use portrait mode because I physically can't.

I only use a mobile now since laptop died and we realised we could live without one. So, no adblocker for me then?

Download DuckDuckGo from the App Store then open MN in there. It’s a godsend.

I use an Adblocker on all my devices and iMac or else a lot of sites are unusable

You're most welcome I use it for all general Internet browsing because it doesn't ask your permission to allow cookies just to search something like chrome now does. It also blocks loads of trackers too.

Big tummy here, bit to apt. Deleting the MN threads it appeared in from my history seems to have done the trick.

Just downloaded Duckduckgo on my phone. Looks like the ads have gone and I like the idea of limiting cookies etc.

DDG works well for me.

YANBU, I have a basic/free Mumsnet account and have resisted ad blockers so that Mumsnet can at least get the ad revenue but the latest ad implementation, with the ads taking up 50% of the screen are making Mumsnet unusable.

Apart from an annoying video about planting seeds and baby weening when I first log on, I get literally zero ads anywhere on this site. I wonder why? I don't have premium. It's virtually ad free for me.
