Ads making mumsnet almost unusable?

Now there is a giant ad on mobile view covering the top half of the page!
One was for animal rights in Australia, the others seem to be Ross from friends with a variety of different women.You can't even click them off.
Incredibly annoying. Do MN not worry it'll stop people using the site?

I’ve got an angry woman in a baseball cap glaring at me. I quite like Gwyneth Paltrow and pigs so would like to swap, but ideally ads that scroll would work!

Also getting the page randomly reloading a couple of times before it settles down. Takes the thrill off a good bunfight

Ross from Friends would be better. I have an endless loop of a baby food recipe that appears to contain both cheese and salmon and looks absolutely rank.

Download the Brave browser app, it has ad block. I don’t have mumsnet premium but I don’t see any ads, just blank spaces where they would be. It’s good because there’s no accidental clicking onto them and being taken to another page.
If you’re on desktop just use Adblock.

I've downloaded adblock browser until they fix this (and might end up keeping it) but I wondered if they've been hacked again. Their security is laughable.

Forgot to add that with the Brave browser app I don’t get the annoying mini videos on the screen either like I do if I use google or safari. So much better!

I'm guessing what I'm using is similar. All ads have vanished entirely. It's weird

Install an adblocker. I use Brave. No more ads. Occasionally get a small box from Mumsnet asking me to disable it, but the site is unusable without it. This isn't a new issue either, it's been like it for ages.

I swear I just saw two ballerinas on the balcony of a cruise ship.

Download DuckDuckGo from the App Store then open MN in there. It’s a godsend.

I literally can’t looking for a thread about this! I currently have two big cows eating which which takes up half the page. I just gave up on a thread because a piglet wouldn’t budge!!!

I get that on my phone, and will have to stop using MN as I can’t read anything or even go back to the main page.

Yes entirely our fault that a website makes instrusive ads that can't be clocked away...

And definitely not those people who use as blockers which force those websites to use more ads...

It’s on MN if they’re using such aggressive advertising it forces people to use an Adblock.
