AIBU to think people are ruining their teeth with veneers

I keep seeing people going to Turkey for veneers where their teeth and filed down to tiny points and whiter than white 'teeth' are put in their place, not natural at all. I keep seeing things also saying these 'teeth' need replacing after x amount of years etc..

There’s a dentist on Tik Tok who is really concerned about this - young people whose teeth are fine having them ground down to stumps and crowns put on. They don’t last forever, they’ll need replacing every decade or so. And if like a previous poster, a person grinds their teeth, they could get real problems later on with cracking roots and other issues I don’t remember.

It’s worrying to be frank.
