I am not keen at all. I would however rather have my lines done. I am only 39 but quite lined already. I asked him if he would consider paying for me to have botox and he replied "no, but I will pay for a boob job" , should I be offended? I don't want a boob job though. I am feeling very sensitive tonight plus one to many sherbets.

He has mentioned in the past about me having a boob job but always in a jokey way. I know he has a thing for big boobs and I think he would love me to have one. I don't want one though, I would prefer botox on my lines.

I'M 36B!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRR >>

After many years of feeling they were too small, and having friends make comments (ie, when bra shopping "oooh, THAT was my FIRST bra size"), I well and truly love my 36b boobs. I breastfed for nealy 4 years, with only a 6 month break in between my 2 dc's. And I'm not saggy. I can wear a vest without a bra (if i wanted to!! lol), and I can still manage a bit of cleavage if and when the occasion calls for it!!!

He's being a bit insensitive to say the least!!!!

lucyellensmum · 06/01/2008 22:51

I am a 38FF, i would LOVE to be a 36B

jezzemx · 06/01/2008 22:54

tell him to p@@@ off.
Does he have a big nose, small willy etc?
If so, say you will get your boobs done if he gets his nose/willy done first.
See what his reaction is.
I bet he doesn't like it!!!!

Elasticwoman · 06/01/2008 23:10

Ask him why, if big boobs are so important to him, did he marry you with your normal and in proportion decollatage?

Has he been visiting dodgy websites or is there a stash of lad mags under the mattress?

Perhaps he is trying to shock you out of wanting the botox, ie wants you to think he should love you just exactly as you are. But he's not being at all tactful.

orangehead · 06/01/2008 23:15

my now x husband seroiusly offered when I was 7 months preg with ds2 to pay for me to have a tummy tuck after ds2 he born. (not the reason he now my x)

MsHighwater · 06/01/2008 23:18

Em...do you mean you wanted HIM to pay for it with HIS money or was it for him to agree to use your joint money to pay for it?

It's one thing for him to refuse to pay for surgery he thinks you don't need or doesn't want you to have but another to suggest that you have a boob job that you don't want so YANBU to be upset about what he said (tho' it does depend on how he said it).

Of course, I'm not a fan of cosmetic surgery (tho' I might consider a tummy tuck after my C-section!). Just look at the likes of Priscilla Presley, George Michael and others for arguments against it.

Quattrocento · 06/01/2008 23:19

what a bizarre world you do live in

that's the joy of mn, I suppose

Gosh. If my DH suggested that, I would divorce him.

discoverlife · 06/01/2008 23:21

Yank his knob tonight and tell him its a bit small, and see how he likes the put down.
BTW I would love less saggy boobs. And smaller ones if I lose weight.

FrannyandZooey · 06/01/2008 23:21

"annoyed" is not quite the word that springs to mind, personally

twentypence · 06/01/2008 23:28

I would love a breast reduction to be your size.

A lined face and boobs that belong on a 20 year old - not a good look. Wouldn't botox (and a padded bra) be much cheaper for him ?

discoverlife · 06/01/2008 23:30

Nah, he just wants to head between them and go' fubble dubble dubble.
Men ,,, you can't live with them? you can always divorce them

discoverlife · 06/01/2008 23:30

sorry... put his head between them

Elasticwoman · 06/01/2008 23:37

I got the point the first time, Discoverlife. It dates you, all that Pamela Stephenson; you must be nearly as old as me.
American Express - aren't they out of business now?

Rosylily · 06/01/2008 23:43

say 'okay let me see what it would be like' and get some big chicken fillets and a plunging neckline top and go out like that with him (and stick them out.) Then when he sees how much attention you get from other men he might not be so keen! But you might decide it's a jolly good idea

VictorianSqualor · 06/01/2008 23:51

Just to play devils advocate here, as everyone has gone doolally about it, (understandably) is there nothing physically that you would ever change about your dp/h's?

I mean, we all love them to pieces and are happy the way they are but if it was a bruce almighty situation and theyd wake up tomorrow slightly different we;d probably all do it.

I think he was being an insensitive jerk, but the idea of bigger/smaller/firmer breasts to many men is rather nice, doesnt mean they love us any less than we would them if we would be pleased they gained a johnny wilkinson figure overnight.

susiecutiemincepies · 06/01/2008 23:57

men do love to stick their head between them and go fubble dubble dubble shurubbledubble dubble .. well, i dont mean they like to do that to mine, it was more a general thing. ANYway... you cant do that with falseys! they are far too pert, and solid for it

Back to the original post: YANBU what a silly arse he is. Whilst i'm at it though, why do you want your lines done? its all a bit superficial IMO... just let your body age, naturally in the way its intended... that way, you both grow old gracefully together. there will always be an in-balance otherwise, which will only lead to insecurities.. also, you wont just stop at the lines either... trust me

THAT said, i wouldnt say no to having mine hitched up a little, as they are a leetle bit saggy peri breast feeding and I hate to think how much further south they will go when I stop! This is not defying my age though is it? very ,much?

ok, i'll get my coat....

discoverlife · 07/01/2008 00:01

Some of the younger ones wouldn't have got the 'flubble dubble reference, so shall we keep it and our ages a secret?

madamez · 07/01/2008 00:01

It does depend on how he said it. If it was a throwaway jokey comment - given that you started the conversation - then leave it. If he's on at you generally to have it, tell him to hang a few weights off his knob to stretch it and also to have the muscle at the base of his tongue snipped so he will be better at oral sex.

susiecutiemincepies · 07/01/2008 00:05

Being honest here VS, I would not change anything about my DH's body. Nothing at all. I LOVE every millimeter of it, and I was only telling him just last night

He's a little over 40 now, he's just a little under 6ft 4 he has a gorgeous slightly round, soft tummy, long thin leggies, which have plenty of muscle on them, they just look thin for some reason, probably because they are SO long. Strong arms, His hair is greying in the most attractive distinguished way. I love the way his chest fur is turning grey too. He also is thinning at the back of his head hair.

Its him, its how he has grown and aged, and I love every single bit of it. I

The only only thing i'd change, and this is not for me either, as I dont even notice it, but he has plaque psoriasis on many parts of his body and he hates it. really hates it and is embarrassed about it. LIke i say, it has never even entered my mind as something I dont like or would change. He would like it gone, so, if I had a bruce almighty moment, thats what I would change.

Lauriefairycake · 07/01/2008 00:07

I'm a 38H - I would loooove to be your size

When I get older and in a nursing home they will tuck my tits into my belt for me

Tell him to bog off

susiecutiemincepies · 08/01/2008 12:05

Laurie, I did actually do that once, to one of my older ladies. She was incredibly confused and I was getting her dressed one morning.

Pulled on her clean jammies, pulled them up, put on her vest and top.... about 10 minutes later she called me over and said 'nurse my titties are itchy and sore " she was pulling at her top... I pulled up her top to have a look, and her boobs were about 2 inches below her waist band on her trousers. I felt awful!

It will be me, for sure, one day. I am currently 36J althoguh, they look nothing like that big. nothing at all like it.

jellybeans · 08/01/2008 12:10

YANBU. Society has alot to answer for. Men are getting unrealistic expectations. Kelly Brook was slated the other day for looking 'droopy'!!!! Guess what it is natural. Putting plastic in the body is abit macabre really isn't it. If we saw normal breasts all the time, we would probably be happy with what we have!
