DH wrecked my hair but apparently can't get annoyed

I would normally do it myself, but last time he did such a great job, that I thought amazing! But no.... And yes I can fix that bit myself, I should have checked. He's a boat detailer/finisher

YABU unless he’s a qualified hairdresser then you can’t complain if he did it wrong, no matter how well he’s done in the past.

If you do your hair yourself, or get someone not a hairdresser to do your hair then it’s a risk you take

Just do the missed bits yourself. In fact, you could have started the process and he could have finished it by doing the hard to reach places surely?

My hair is not THAT destroyed but my crown definitely is!

Why not keep to your natural colour? Your roots will show in a few days as you’re clearly very dark. Why moan about something you let a bloody boat painter do?! 😆

It's a bit rich to blame your partner for not doing your hair right when an actual hairdresser refuses to do it 😀 I think your hair looks lovely, if you know the risk of damage and dont mind then crack on I guess!

Hairdressers don't usually outright refuse to do anything clients ask , unless they are worried that your hair will end up looking like shredded wheat as a result of too many harsh chemicals. Tbh I agree about it not suiting your skin tone but it's not my choice, it's yours. Maybe give your hair a break and a few good conditioning treatments for a couple of months and then go back to a professional

Hairdressers won't high-light your hair/dye it blonde for you because they claim you 'won't suit it?'

Never heard of this in my life - ever.

Also, why can you not do it yourself @Onlyrainbows ? I have done my own 'blonding' for the past 15 years.

And yes just a handful of hairdressers have actually done my hair the way I like it, but, believe me the majority would say my hair is too dark and thick to go level 11. I only asked my husband to help me with my hair last time as I had missed a few bits around my back... And he did last time we had fun and it came out lovely! Unlike this time

I cut my own hair, always have. If I asked my untrained husband to do it and he ballsed it up it would be my own stupid fault.

Anyhoo, it looks fine on the pic you put on a 19.11. Pinky colour looks nice!
