For me it would be a close run race between a Terry's Pyramint or an original a Secret bar...

Milkybar Choo or a Top Ten. Stop doing these torture threads if you don't work for the companies and have no intention of bringing them back Envy

KloppsTeeth · 19/03/2022 00:25

@IcakethereforeIam yes!! Pastel colours. I was around 6 or 7 and I remember having them in my packed lunch on a school trip.

Oh and Treets! They were really nice. They brought them back temporarily a few years ago.

@Thewindwhispers

I dunno but what happened to tutti frutt ice cream?!

Asda sometimes does this, it's covered in sprinkles but easy to scrap off.

"When I was very, very small, there was a bar like a Crunchie, but HUGE, covered in dark chocolate and the crunchie bit was minty."

Sweetpeas, I remember these, I'd buy one every week on the way home from my Saturday job, I have been off to track them down and think they were called Anytime Bars though the name doesn't strike a bell with me but the picture of large amount of green honeycomb surrounde by dark chocolate does. I also loved Icebreakers, Rum Aeros, Old Jamaica Rum and Raisin, Chocolate Coconut ice, coffee Walnut Whips (I had such depraved tastes - still do). Old Jamaica is back but I haven't tried them. Weekend and Black Magic chocolates seemed so exciting bein in a box made them special. Black Magic like After Eights have gone the way of all chocolate to over sweetened mush.

When I was very, very small, there was a bar like a Crunchie, but HUGE, covered in dark chocolate and the crunchie bit was minty. To give an idea of how big it was, you could get eight sweets for a penny, crisps for 12p, a mini milk for 8p and this beauty was 30p.
Mint honeycomb! I used to walk about 35 minutes to other end of town to buy this in early 80s Smile

Cadbury's Fruit 'n' Nut before the Americans got their hands on it and changed the recipe

RicherThanYew · 19/03/2022 00:51

@thunderpunt Home Bargains sell the dark chocolate bounty trios 😁😁😁 it's the only perk to taking a trip to buy puppy pads.

SE13Mummy · 19/03/2022 00:53

Secret and Top Deck before Cadbury's turned to muck.

hazandduck · 19/03/2022 01:17

@Blackmagicqueen Galaxy caramel swirls (they were unwrapped in a sharing pouch in the 90s and out of this world)

Yes!! I loved these! Also Galaxy truffles.

I would bring back Echo bars! Christ they were good.

Does anyone remember Spaghetti Sauce Monster Munch? I loved them when I was really young but sometimes think I made them up!

Springwreath · 19/03/2022 01:17

@marmitecake

This will give my age away but way back from the 1979s: Old Jamaica (with rum and raisins).
Ohhhhh I used to love this! Haven't thought of it in years.

I used to like a Texan bar too.

Migrainesbythedozen · 19/03/2022 01:18

@ChipButtyCurrySauce

All Cadbury from before they changed the recipe. 🤢 it's massively narrowed my choice of chocolate.
I second this.

The original Cadbury, and the block Top Deck that Cadbury made decades ago that I haven't seen in a long, long time.

caringcarer · 19/03/2022 01:23

@whetheryouthinkyoucan, every single Xmas my adult eldest son has a little whinge about missing the coffee cream from Quality Street. I wish they would bring it back just to shut him up.

I remember it, there was a strawberry flavour one as well. It was called a Anytime Giant Puff Candy Bar, your right it was huge, and beautiful.
Jonagirl · 19/03/2022 01:42

Anytime bars! Thank you, I loved these but could never remember the name until this thread and nobody I ever described them to remembered them at all. They were so good!

Aztec bar. Loved 'em!

Oh I was going to say same - thought I was the only one who remembered them 😋
