Does he realise where the money they would have to pay him if he was successful in suing, would come from?

The British public

Thanks Harry.

@Princelett

Funnily enough our friends daughter went to North Western at the same time as Meghan and Meghan was known to be enormously friendly initially only to drop her new friends quickly if anyone better came along. What I can't understand is why on earth Meghan didn't name her baby daughter, Doria, after her mother. I would have respected her for that. Instead she chose to name the baby after the Head of the Family she professes to hate. Like many people, I hope Meghan and Harry peace in their new life but I want nothing more from them in the UK. Harry was left a fortune by his mother and great grandmother. He is free to lead a new life in a new country but there is no coming back.
Interesting how people conveniently have these 'our daughter/son/cousin/cousin's hairdresser' or 'a friend of ours' anecdotes pop up with no evidence. Just evidence of the nasty, spiteful person making them up.

What I can't understand is why on earth Meghan didn't name her baby daughter, Doria, after her mother. I would have respected her for that. Instead she chose to name the baby after the Head of the Family she professes to hate.

The misogyny here, also, is obvious. Blaming Meghan. As if Meghan herself made the decision, and isn't one half of a marriage. As if she is the only parent of her child. Oh, it's all Meghan's fault. Everything is always the female's fault, isn't it, @Princelett .

I really think it’s another argument to get rid of monarchy as an institution in this country, if they’re all in so much danger. It’s a nonsense.

cherrycokr · 18/03/2022 23:18

Why on earth would you respect a stranger because of their baby name choice?

Blossomtoes · 18/03/2022 23:19

I'd be very surprised if the monarchy survives once Charles is King. I don't think it will. I think there is a lot of goodwill towards the Queen but virtually none for the rest of them

I disagree and I think Harry’s petulant and self important behaviour is helping the rest of the family immensely.

I agree, the pandemic made them all seem a bit pointless. However I respect the Queens dedication & commitment. Charles & William just seem irrelevant.

theemperorhasnoclothes · 18/03/2022 23:20

This thread has nothing to do with Meghan.

Harry is questioning the expertise of the UK security forces who decide which level of protection he'll get when he's here based on their risk assessments. He wants full protection even if the risk assessment shows it's a waste of public funds.

He's proposing to take vast sums of money out of a system that is falling over in which disabled people, children and the vulnerable are suffering real harms daily. Not imagined harms, not 'might' happen harms, actual inability to buy food or pay rent or heat their homes or get adequate and timely medical care.

When he could quite easily just stay in the US in his luxurious home.

It's honestly just shameful. Really, really shameful.

cherrycokr · 18/03/2022 23:22

I'd argue Andrews exploits had done more damage!

Princelett · 18/03/2022 23:23

@Migrainesbythedozen
Do you really believe that everything is always the female's fault? What an odd thing to claim on Mumsnet

VladmirsPoutine · 18/03/2022 23:25

@Princelett My neighbour was her Ocado delivery driver. Apparently she moaned about the plastic bag surcharge.

cherrycokr · 18/03/2022 23:25

@Princelett what makes you think Harry had no input in the baby name choice?

Migrainesbythedozen · 18/03/2022 23:25

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing

Agreed. I think the way the royal family have treated Meghan and Harry, as well as handled their leaving and the fallout, has been a gift to republicans, 'the firm' have only made themselves look bad. I do agree that the sooner we become a republic and get rid of the Queen and her hangers on the better. The Queen chose to accept her coronation, Harry had no choice in being born into that family.
Princelett · 18/03/2022 23:25

I agree with @Blossomtoes . The behaviour of Meghan and Harry has boosted the popularity of hard working members of the Royal Family.

@Princelett It was sarcasm, I was saying YOU clearly believe everything is always the female's fault.

Migrainesbythedozen · 18/03/2022 23:27

Careful, Princelett is very literal and doesn't do sarcasm, they will believe you.

Blossomtoes · 18/03/2022 23:29

Can we just stop with the personal insults? There’s no need for them.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/03/2022 23:31

I've not RTFT... disappointed it's not some oddball trying to make a legal case against the concept of WFH as I'd imagined.

Princelett · 18/03/2022 23:31

@Migrainesbythedozen, I wasn't being sarcastic. You were the one who claimed that everything is always the female's fault. Look back at your post.

Princelett · 18/03/2022 23:32

Well said @Blossomtoes

cherrycokr · 18/03/2022 23:34

You were the one who claimed that everything is always the female's fault. Look back at your post.

How on earth have you looked at your exchange with that poster & come to the above? 😆

VladmirsPoutine · 18/03/2022 23:34

The country is so racist that Meghan gets more flak for being a half Black American than an actual nonce.

cherrycokr · 18/03/2022 23:35

@VladmirsPoutine true dat but remember everyone is imagining the racism!

I certainly don't blame females for everything. You seem to be implying that you know what I believe with regard to all women. It was you who claimed that everything is the fault of females. I would be ashamed to put that in print.
I think there are many, many admirable and wonderful women.
