To be annoyed my FB ‘friend’ is cheating at Wordle

Just that really. Everyone gets the word in 4, 5, 6 tries, 3 on a good day, 2 once in a blue moon. Everyone except for one ‘friend’ who gets it in 2 tries nearly every day. How is that even possible? Go ahead, tell me to get a life.

I can't say it bothers me. It's a one player game. And if you're sharing a two-move win every single day, you're not going to be fooling anyone.

The only thing I might take personally is the insult to my intelligence in that they think I wouldn't see through it, but they're insulting everyone else just as much.

Is it? I still can't see how that would create quite such strong responses. The only person who looks like an idiot is the overt cheat.

Wordle has a funny effect on some people. I think a lot of people use it as a gauge/validation of overall intelligence.

Anyone tried Squardle? I've been trying for a few days but only just 'got it' today!

I have got it in 2 perhaps half a dozen times - so once a month or so. All depends on your first word really, then what you play as 2nd. I usually play 1st word, if 3 or more letters come up then I have a long think. If less come up I play a choice of 2 or 3 words as my 2nd word. Then a long think, and sometimes you have to play a word with letters you've not yet used along with your yellow vowel in a different place to test out which other letters are needed as well as vowel position. My most common is in 3, then in 4. Very rare to go to 5 or 6 unless it's a word like CATCH where you could have MATCH LATCH BATCH WATCH to pick from, and I've been tempted away from playing something like BRAWL to capture the missing consonants.
Frankly it's getting a bit boring now, so I no longer play every day.

I still play because it doesn't take long, but I agree. I much prefer quordle and nerdle now.
